Charles Albright Sr. He had been an electrical engineer for SPS and retired in 1989 after more than 38 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye Joyce Albright. Survivors include four sons, Loyd Bruce Albright of New Jersey, Leslie Ray Albright and wife Leloy, Larry Charles Albright and Max Gene Albright and wife Pam, all of Amarillo; a sister, Patricia Sue Okonski of Florida; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was a cheerleading coach as well as a mom for anyone who needed one. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hernandez; two sisters; and her parents. He moved to Amarillo in 1968. He worked for the Bushland Co-op for 10 years as a mechanic and truck driver. Mr. Nunez was a deacon at Primera Iglesia Bautista Jerusalem for 27 years. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved rodeos and his horses. He was a great dad and granddad. He married Alicia Trevino in 1955 in Big Spring. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1992; a son, Carlos, in 2003; and a grandson, Julian, in 2001. Survivors include three daughters, Peggy A. Morales and husband Danny, Priscilla Vasquez and Maria Garcia and husband Daniel, all of Amarillo; a son, Fred Nunez Jr. and wife Socorro of Amarillo; a sister, Elva Galan of Amarillo; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Nick and Dinah Garcia. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Lane pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa by Brown Funeral Directors. Mr. Cogdill was born Dec. 28, 1922, in Mulhall, Okla. He served in the U.S. Army in the European theater of conflict during World War II, and retired from Phillips Petroleum Co. in 1984 after 33 years. Glenn was a master electrician and had served as electrical inspector for the city of Borger. He married Twila Rich in 1941 in Borger. Mr. Cogdill belonged to Wesley Methodist Church. He was a Mason and a member of Isom Lodge No. 1242 in Borger. Glenn served as both Worshipful Master and secretary of that lodge. He also served as District Deputy Grand Master of Texas Grand Lodge for the northern Panhandle area, and was honored by the Grand Lodge of Texas in 1995 with the Golden Trowel award for exceptional service to the community. Mr. Cogdill was also a member of Borger Chapter No. 811 Order of the Eastern Star and had served as Worthy Patron. Survivors include his wife, Twila; three sons, Ron and wife Kathy of Euless, Jerry and wife Alice of Longmont, Colo., and Wayne and wife Carolena of Amarillo; two brothers, Marvin Cogdill of Bartlesville, Okla., and James McPherson of Gunbarrel City; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She had a short life on Earth but she was loved, and will be missed, by many. Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Friday in the school auditorium in Nara Visa, N.M. John "Jay" Eloy Nials was born Oct. 3, 1931, near Hudson, N.M., to John Linden and Ethel Laurinda Payton Nials. He grew up near Logan, N.M. He started to work at the age of 11 on a ranch south of Tucumcari, N.M. He continued to do ranch work for the rest of his life. He started working for the Roy Coots Ranch in 1959, and worked for them until he bought part of the ranch and leased a large part of the rest of it. He married Ada L Evans on Feb. 14, 1989. At the time of his death, he and his wife were still running the ranch. Jay was one of the last real cattlemen of our time. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, W. A. "Bink" Nials and Henry Nials; two sisters, Thelma Nials and Velma Aulds; and a nephew, Roy Nials. Survivors include his wife; four nephews, Ray Nials and wife Joanne and Marvin Nials and wife Lucy, all of Tucumcari, Fred Nials of Denver, and Steven Aulds of Athens; five nieces, Dorothy Racumas and husband Mike of Overland, Kan., Collene Derrick and husband Jerry of Canyon, Betty Behrenet and husband John and Edna Faye Booker and husband George, all of Albuquerque, N.M., and Evelyn Waite and husband Loyd of Rolla, Mo.; 12 great-nephews; four great-nieces; and six stepchildren. McElroy on Feb. 17, 1956, in Texarkana. She was a homemaker and loved sports. She was involved with youth bowling in Perryton and bowled in tournaments. Her greatest achievement was her four children and her grandchildren. She loved her family.
