Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with Ron Fox, interim pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Eldorado Cemetery in Eldorado, Okla., by Smith Funeral Home. Mr. Goss was born Nov. 23, 1938, in Eldorado to Fred Goss and Edna Groce Goss. He married Rhea Hodges on Jan. 17, 1958, in Quanah. Survivors include his wife; his father of Eldorado; three daughters, Sheila Enfield of Garber, Okla., and Darla Ratzlaff Crespin and Debbie Simpson Cleveland, both of Amarillo; a son, Anthony Goss of Garber; and 11 grandchildren. Jones BORGER - Emmett C. "E.C." Jones, 85, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, in Memphis. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Patterson Greer Funeral Home Chapel in Hollis, Okla., with the Rev. Richard Manning of Corinth Baptist Church officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Gould Cemetery in Gould, Okla. Memorial services will be at a later date in Bunavista Baptist Church in Borger. Emmett C. "E.C." Jones, a 60-year resident of Borger, went to the Lord on the first day of spring, March 21, 2007, at the Memphis Convalescence Center (Hospice). Born in 1921 in Cleburne to Cliff and Lucy Jones, he attended Gould High School and served in World War II in the Army Air Corps, Signal Corps, in North Africa and Europe. Anna Lois Smith of Hollis became his bride in December 1946. A baseball player in his youth, he remained an avid baseball fan and taught his children and grandchildren to appreciate the sport; he also enjoyed watching college football and basketball. When he retired from Plains Plant, Phillips Petroleum Co. (37 years), he was able to devote full time to his true vocation of farming in Hansford County. He was president emeritus of Union AFL-CIO No. 351, where members still call him a "giant" and remember and honor him for his integrity; Phillips Petroleum officials respected him for his negotiation abilities. wSurvivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Anna Lois Jones; three daughters, Anna Earlene Caspersen and husband Roland of Los Alamos, N.M., Paula Teuton and husband James of Borger and Lisa Ridling and husband Jerry of Houston; four grandchildren, Julie Marsh of Los Angeles, Holly Riley and husband Ford of Glendale, Calif., David Teuton of Borger and John Ridling of Houston; two great-grandchildren, Fiona and Quinn Riley of Glendale; three brothers, Glenn Jones and Sterling Jones and wife Glenna of Hollis and Cecil Jones and wife Evelyn of Aberdeen, S.D.; a sister, Joyce Harris of Gould; and numerous nieces and nephews. Winston Darrel Sublett, 56, was born Feb. 27, 1951, in Pampa and passed away March 22, 2007, in Dallas, from kidney cancer. Darrel faced his difficult diagnosis and treatment with the same humor, grace and courage that he lived his life. Darrel's greatest joy was his family, wife and soulmate, Jane, and daughter Jessica, whose recent graduation from Texas Tech University was a great source of pride for her father. Darrel frequently told friends how much he enjoyed his co-workers at Richardson ISD, where he was a bond project manager. His other loves included golfing, playing his guitar and fishing. He was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Larry Sublett; and a son, Wesley Denton Sublett.
