Services will be at 5 p.m. Sunday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Jerald Chadwick, pastor of Central Baptist Church, and Bob Thomas, spiritual care with Odyssey Healthcare, officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Laurel Cemetery in Buffalo Valley, Okla. Ms. Ford was born Nov. 20, 1936, in Oklahoma to Samuel and Barbara Henderson. Ms. Ford's greatest job was raising her family. She worked for Levi Strauss and was an office manager at Budget Car Sales. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Ms. Ford was known for her famous buttermilk chess pies. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth; a grandson, David Joe Ford; a brother, Hughie Cooley; her stepfather, Jack Cooley; and two sisters, Jackie McIntyre and Irma Carlton. Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Bryant and Deborah Rundell, both of Amarillo, and Lisa Zang of Hewitt; two sons, Ron Ford of Louin, Miss., and Darrell Ford of Amarillo; six sisters, Betty Dockery and Jane "Brown Eyes" Hobbs, both of Amarillo, Oma Fay Reynolds of Norman, Okla., Eva May Stewart of Mustang, Okla., Patricia "Cheezy" Sherrills of Vinson, Okla., and Mary Lee Pope of Talihina, Okla.; a brother, Arthur Cooley of Wilburton, Okla.; her mother, Barbara Cooley of Buffalo Valley; the father of her children, Buddy Ford of Amarillo; nine grandchildren, Chris, Ryan, Shawna, Cara, Jason, Jacob, Dustin, Kyle and Katie; and two adorable great-grandchildren, Halo and Brayden. McGee DARROUZETT - John "J.W." McGee, 74, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, in Perryton. J.W. was born Aug. 4, 1932, in Darrouzett, Lipscomb County, at the home place of Kiowa Creek in a two-room house. On Aug. 5, 1949, he married his wife of 58 years, Fern Hamilton. J.W. was owner and operator of M&P Welding for 25 years. After selling his welding business, he was a contract pumper. His hobbies were farming and running a few head of cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wesley and Mary Martin McGee; a brother, Charles B. McGee; and a sister, Beulah Sorenson. Mr. Adams was born Feb. 15, 1955, in Clinton, Okla. He married Mary Sue Thompson on June 12, 1998. He had been married to Susan Cochran. He later married Julie Ann Sanders, who died in December 1997. He was engaged in farming and ranching in Hansford County and had been employed by West Texas Gas Co. He was baptized in Wesley United Methodist Church in Amarillo.
