Celebration of life services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jay McGaughy, the Rev. Brad Foster, the Rev. Philip Hilton, the Rev. Beth Harrington, Art Lynch and the Rev. H.L. Stevens officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Georgia was born March 6, 1942, to George and Edna Pond in Wheeler. She graduated from Wheeler and moved to Dumas in 1964. She was of the Baptist faith. She married Michael on Jan. 7, 1983, in Dumas. For 24 years, she was a pharmaceutical tech at Memorial Hospital, where she was a dedicated, loyal, hard worker and the love for her job was appreciated by all. She loved to celebrate life, spending time with her friends and family. She was an awesome mother and MeMe and was totally crazy about her great- grandbabies. Survivors include her husband, Michael; four children, Jeff Jolly and wife Belynda of Dumas, Shawna San Miguel of Dumas, Julie Bassham and husband Jimmy of Dalhart and Brent Jolly and wife Heika of Dumas; a sister, Fredia Caldwell and husband Geoffrey of Mobeetie; a brother, Charles Pond and wife Charlotte of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren, Chris, Shaylee, Julinda, Cody, Derick, Justin, Koree, Karlee, Craig and Jaylon; and two great-grandchildren, Harrison and Kennedy.The family suggests memorials be to the Panhandle Children's Foundation, P.O. Mrs. Hays was born Dec. 13, 1913, in Madill, Okla., to Lawrence and Virginia Aderholt. She moved to Briscoe with her family in 1927. She was the oldest of 10 children and was in the first graduating class at Briscoe in 1933. Mrs. Hays married Jack Hays on Dec. 2, 1933, in Mobeetie. They lived in the Briscoe community until 1971, then they moved to Wheeler. In 2000 they moved to Amarillo. She enjoyed reading, watching basketball, her family and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gerald Aderholt; two sisters, Avis Allen and Lavois Anderson; and her husband, Jack Hays, in 2000. Georgia St. Rose was born Oct. 19, 1955, in Amarillo to Catherine and Bill Loflin. Rose married Danny Harley in 1994. Rose worked as a school bus driver in Amarillo for special needs children. During Rose's eight years as a bus driver she touched many lives. Rose's greatest joy was her family and friends. Roberts Jr. L.R. Roberts Jr., 83, died Saturday, April 14, 2007. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Comanche Trail Church of Christ Chapel with Loran Harper officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Roberts was born April 14, 1924, in Paducah to Lawrence Rawls and Jessie Julia Roberts. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was awarded many service related medals and citations. Mr. Roberts married Bonita Christine Ferrell on Dec. 17, 1948, in Hale Center. As a young man he worked as a carpenter. In the '60s, he opened Roberts TV, and then in the '70s he owned and operated Roberts Used Cars until his retirement. A generous man, he loved his family dearly. He was deeply devoted to each of his grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Christine; two daughters, Rawlslend Keck and Michele Hodges and husband Ted, all of Amarillo; a son, Larry Roberts and wife Lollipop; eight grandchildren, Larry Dale, Christy, Misty, Larry Don Jr., James, Brad, Mikey and Little Michelle; 23 great-grandchildren; a great-great- grandchild; and several loving nieces and nephews. On Nov. 27, 1954, she married Elmer Harris in Kidlington. She had been a member of Eastridge Baptist Church since 1960. Ann worked for the Amarillo Independent School District as a cafeteria manager for several years before her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Elmer; a daughter, Janette Wills and husband Wesley of Amarillo; a son, Michael and wife Susan of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Angela Wills, Stacey Giglio, Crystal Merrill and Aaron Harris; three great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters in England. He graduated from Plainview High School. He married Carolyn Harris on April 4, 1986, in Plainview. Troy's life was characterized by his faith in God and his love and devotion to his many friends and family. He was a dedicated member of his church and involved himself in the choir where he loved to sing. Troy loved helping people by any means necessary. He had a great sense of humor and was always smiling. Troy was an avid golfer and enjoyed driving his red Charger and playing with his dog, Freckles. He was a great racquetball player and rarely missed a chance to go to the lake. His selfless and positive attitude was an inspiration to everyone around him. All who knew him will dearly miss him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy James. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Carolyn James; his father, J.D.
