Thomason, 77, of Amarillo died Tuesday, April 17, 2007. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery with his grandson, the Rev. Johnnie Thomason officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Thomason was born in Ochelata, Okla., and moved to Texas in 1933. He had been a resident of Amarillo for more than 60 years. He married Maybell Keenom on Oct. 29, 1947, in Canyon. He operated G&H Service Station for 30 years before retiring in 1992. Mr. Thomason loved to fish and repair fishing equipment. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Berryhill. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Brenda Baker and husband Theron of Borger; two sons, Billy Thomason and wife Judy and James Thomason and wife Susan, all of Amarillo; a brother, James Thomason of Bartlesville, Okla.; and a sister, Peggy Cook of Decatur, Ala.; five grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. Mr. Battle was born July 27, 1944, in Huntington Beach, Calif., to Frank and Theo Battle. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. James Battle and Eileen Taylor married on June 13, 1970. Mr. Battle had worked at Westgate Chevrolet for seven years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. We love you. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Leonard Battle. She grew up there and attended Hart High School. She married Kenneth Levitt on Dec. 23, 1987, in Amarillo. She worked for many years in the restaurant industry. She worked for Woolco for many years and later worked as a pastry chef for The Back Porch. She enjoyed bowling and loved to cook. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1993; a grandson, Kendall Baker, in 2002; two brothers; and a sister. She married Tom M. Boles on Jan. 3, 1958. He passed away on Sept. 11, 1995, three weeks after her son, Robert F. Knoy, died on Aug. 18, 1995. Mrs. Boles had lived in Amarillo for the last 44 years. She was a member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church and of the Amarillo Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 787. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include two daughters, Denise Worsham and husband George of Amarillo and Donna Boles and husband Steve Clark of St. Kitts, West Indies; a son, Wesly M. Celebration of life services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Johnson Street Church of Christ in San Angelo. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home. A petite but strong woman, Faye put the lie to all those blonde jokes. She became a registered nurse when she was 50, after she and Ron had raised five children. Before suffering a heart attack and stroke in 1994, she worked for Outreach Home Health Services in San Angelo. Even after her retirement, when she was partly impaired in movement, she remained active in the Bible Correspondence Course ministry, singing at funerals and other activities at her church, Johnson Street Church of Christ in San Angelo. Faye was born April 16, 1933, in Hereford, the daughter of Bill and Lorene Knox. Her marriage in 1951 to a wandering journalist, minister and writer- editor took her from Portales, N.M., where she worked to put Ron through school, to Tucumcari, N.M., Lander, Wyoming, Perth and Sydney, Australia, Oxnard, Calif., Flagstaff, Ariz., Pasadena, Houston, Austin, Irving, Waco and finally San Angelo, where they moved in 1992. With her feet planted solidly in faith, but with a love for people and a heart that was always ready for a new adventure, she was a model of a well-traveled lady. Survivors include her husband, Ron; four sons, Dr. Don Durham and wife Karen of Phoenix, Dave Durham and wife Becky of Nashville, Tenn., Doug Durham and wife Lisa of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Dr. Dennis Durham and wife Norma of San Angelo; a daughter, Delayna Weir and husband Roger of Waco; a brother, Bill Knox and wife Joann of Amarillo; 16 grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Restland Funeral Home Wildwood Chapel. Mrs. Etchieson was born Dec. 14, 1913, in McLean. She married William S. "Etch" Etchieson on March 23, 1939, in Pampa. She received her B.S. degree from West Texas State University and then taught school for six years in McLean and 15 years in Borger. The Etchiesons moved to Dallas in 1982 where they spent the remainder of their 65 years together. Mrs. Etchieson was a member of Prestoncrest Church of Christ in Dallas.
