Calloway, 30, of Amarillo died Monday, April 16, 2007. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with the Rev. John Adams officiating. Arrangements are by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St. Tiffany Calloway was born in Groom, and grew up in Clarendon, where she attended school. She later moved to Shamrock and had lived in Amarillo for three years upon her death. Survivors include her father, Charles Calloway of Amarillo; her mother, Mary Calloway of Amarillo; two sisters, Corneila Calloway of Amarillo and Betty Wright of Shamrock; three brothers, Authur Harris, Charles Calloway of Clarendon and Tyrone Calloway of Amarillo; five children, Marquida Gaines, Darryl Holmes, Robi Holmes, Billie Holmes and Rodney Holmes, all of Amarillo; her grandmother, Mae D. Harris of Clarendon; and a special friend, Robby Holmes of Odessa. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery East by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Kenny was born Jan. 30, 1956, in Amarillo, was raised here and was a graduate of Tascosa High School. He married his wife, Debbie, in 1995 in Las Vegas. He worked for the Amarillo Police Department as a patrolman and motorcycle officer from 1976 until he retired in 2001. He loved police work and was a true friend, fisherman and camper. He loved Las Vegas. Survivors include his wife, Debbie; two daughters, Amy Kemp and Stephanie Kemp of Amarillo; a stepdaughter, Regan McGill and husband Trevor of Parthanon, Ark.; his parents, Ray and Sue Kemp of Amarillo; a sister, Karen Munnelly and husband Mike of Amarillo; and a grandson, Payton. Georgia St. Mr. Rutherford was born Nov. 23, 1943, to Ralph Jarrell and Lois Smedley Rutherford in Amarillo. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1963. Private burial was Thursday in Washburn Cemetery. Mrs. Nokes enjoyed bowling and trips to Las Vegas. She also liked bike riding and enjoyed her outdoor walks. She was married to her husband, Clyde, for 42 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Julia Long was born Oct. 25, 1910, in Canyon to Fulton and Lucy Dowlen Brown. She received her teaching degree from West Texas Normal College and taught elementary school in Gallup, N.M., for 30 years. She married John J. Long in Gallup. She was a member of the Methodist church and the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; two brothers, Charlie and Herman Brown; and four sisters, Dochia Borders, Grace Palmer, Corinne Camp and Sallie B. Allen. Mrs. Johnston was born Feb. 11, 1914, in Silverton, Texas, to John and Fairy Grundy Culpepper. He married Patricia Dawson on July 12, 1958, in Hereford. Rich, as he was known to his friends, was a distributor for the Amarillo Globe-News in Hereford for several years and owned and operated Clark's SpringCrest Draperies for many years in Hereford. Rich also had a unique understanding of the automotive parts industry. He had more than 40 years of experience as parts manager for the Stagner-Orsborn Buick-Pontiac-GMC Dealership in Hereford and the Marcum Olds-Cadillac-Buick-Pontiac-GMC Dealership in Borger. Rich was a member of First Baptist Church in Temple. He was preceded in death by his father. Lynn De Juan Abel, born Dec. 9, 1936, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2007, while traveling in France. ? As an accomplished lifelong musician, playing the accordion and many other instruments, De Juan attended Denver University's Lamont School of Music, and sang barbershop as a longtime member of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America. After service in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1960, he earned his college degree in foreign service from Georgetown University. As the founder of Hexagon Honeycomb Corp., he became a modern-day industrialist, epitomizing entrepreneurial ambition and independence by developing that company into the worldwide leader in the production and distribution of structural paper honeycomb. He was presented the St. Louis Small Business Association Businessman of the Year Award in 1991. He passionately loved travel, conversation (with anyone), and his family, which for him extended to second- and third-degree relatives, with all of whom he managed to maintain active contact. De Juan married Carol Ann Coniff in 1960, and they had two sons, Corey Steven Abel and Andrew Craig Abel. To all who knew him he was a devoted father, uncle and friend.? May he rest in peace. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver J. and Willie Abel of Clarendon, Texas; an older brother, Billy Dan Abel; and a sister, Donna.
