Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in North Amarillo Church of Christ with Glen Walton, minister, and Dalton Key, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park East Mausoleum by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Anthony was born May 17, 1927, in Hall County to William Arthur Anthony and Sadie Rachel Chaney Anthony. He worked as a service representative for Case International. He also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Anthony was a deacon at North Amarillo Church of Christ. He married Doris MeLear on Aug. 16, 1947, in Memphis. He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Alton Anthony, in 1989. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Ricky Anthony and wife Lynn, Jackey Anthony and wife Kelly, Teddy Anthony and wife Janet and Perry Joe Anthony, all of Amarillo; a sister, Odell Thompson of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Asher was born Oct. 1, 1921, in Campbell, Mo., and was raised in the Athens-Mertchison area. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. He married Margie DeLong in 1943 in Albuquerque, N.M. She passed away in 1991. He married Elma Jo Landers in 1994. He had been a resident of Amarillo since 1960. He drove a bus for Greyhound Bus Co. for 37 years before his retirement. He moved to Houston in 1994 and then to LaPorte. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Lance Asher, in 1997; five sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, Elma Asher; three daughters, Lora J. Mr. Fristoe was born March 16, 1943, in Amarillo, was raised here and was a member of the first graduating class of Palo Duro High School. He graduated from West Texas State University with a degree in music education. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Alicia Boone in 1976 in Amarillo. He worked as a switchman for the Rock Island Railroad. Joe had a passion for music and was an accomplished jazz musician. He played the piano, drums, saxophone and flute as well as the bass. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Clayton Fristoe. Mr. Harber was born Dec. 26, 1919, in Abilene. He served in the Army during World War II in Germany. He had received the Purple Heart award for his service and bravery. He owned "Our Place" restaurant for three years. He was a letter carrier for many years. He was also a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers for many years. He loved bowling, fishing, camping, boating and baseball. He was known as the "Number One Dillas Fan." He was a member of Mascalero Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; a brother; and a son, Terry, in 1981. He worked as a carpenter all of his life. Mr. McCullough loved music and loved to dance. He was a real jokester and a very good man. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a very good husband and father to his children and stepchildren. He married Janie Stidham on Oct. 12, 1973, in Amarillo. Survivors include his wife, Janie I. Georgia St. Mrs. Myers was born Sept. 14, 1907, in Pioneer to William C. and Maude H. Woods. She married George Myers in 1923. She was a homemaker, raising the couple's seven children. After the children were grown, she helped her husband with his business. Mrs. Myers was a member of Second Baptist Church and sang in the choir. The family would like to give special thanks to Goodcare Healthcare Services and Hospice Care of the Southwest. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; a brother, George Woods; and two sisters, Gladys Omalia and Hazel Crumb. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Kiker Seale Funeral Home. Burial will be in Westbrook Cemetery in Westbrook. Dan Morris Truelove was born Nov. 2, 1932, in Vernon, the sixth of seven children born to John Emmit and Beulah Bell Truelove. Dan graduated from Vernon High School in May 1950. He later moved to Midland, where he met the true love of his life, Sharon Sue Burt. They were joined into a bond on May 5, 1956, that lasted more than 50 years. Dan graduated from West Texas State University in 1960 and embarked on a path of educating and enriching the lives of the youth of West Texas. Among his most cherished memories are the accomplishments of his students and athletes during a stellar 35-year career coaching football, volleyball, basketball, track, golf, calculator applications and number sense in the communities of Farwell, Odonnell, Hamlin, Spearman and Westbrook. Included among those accomplishments were numerous district, regional and state championships earned by countless individuals and teams that he coached. In 1970, he received his master's degree in education from Abilene Christian University. Dan remained a successful, yet unheralded coach during his tenure in education, which was the way he always wanted it to be. He was only interested in producing productive, honest, hard-working citizens. Molding children was always his passion. In 1977 Dan and Sharon moved to Colorado City, where Dan was instrumental in rechartering Primitive Baptist Church in 1980. The church was the centerpiece of his life and he and Sharon enjoyed attending many meetings over the years hosted by churches in several states. His hobbies included flying, discussing Bible doctrine with preachers, camping and fishing in Colorado and spending time with his grandchildren. Dan was freed from the pain of his earthly body to be with his Lord on April 22, 2007. Survivors left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Sharon Truelove; two sons, Daniel Truelove and wife Nita of Sweetwater and Tony Truelove and wife Bobbie of Abernathy; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Logan, Jacob, Jordan, Tori, Josh, Cason and Tyler; and two sisters, Betty Keisling and husband Floyd and Linda Stanford and husband Clyde.
