Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St., with Jerry Davey, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Emily Cecile Clark was born Aug. 4, 1919, to James and Clara Trantham in Greenforest, Ark. When she was still a young girl the family moved to LaJunta, Colo., and she grew up there. In 1937 she left home and moved to Walters, Okla., where she met Macon L. Clark Sr. They were married in 1938 in Duncan, Okla. Our mother loved people. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and singing in the church choir. She also taught herself how to play the piano. We are very proud of her. Emily was preceded in death by her husband in July 1991. Survivors include four sons, Macon L. Clark Jr., Jerry W. Clark and David W. Clark, all of Amarillo, and Glen E. Clark of Westminster, Colo.; a daughter, Emily LaJune Howell of Amarillo; a brother, Joy Trantham of LaJunta; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mrs. Coronado was born Aug. 17, 1905, in Santa Rosa, N.M., and moved to Amarillo in 1936 from Clovis, N.M. She married Jose Coronado on Aug. 22, 1923, in Clovis. He preceded her in death in 1992. She was a homemaker as well as a charter member of Christian Life Center Church. She loved teaching children's Sunday school, which she did for many years. She was selected as "Woman of the Year" at the church two different times. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Elizabeth "Liz" Coronado and Michael Hernandez Survivors include two sons, David Coronado of Amarillo and the Rev. Steve Coronado of Corpus Christi; four daughters, Ruth Kendrick of Amarillo, Helen Garcia of Panhandle, Nora Schneider of Pennsylvania and Louise Kamper of Palestine; 24 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 43 great-great- grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandchild. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joe William Cato Joe William Cato, 79, of Amarillo died Tuesday, May 1, 2007. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Regi Fowler, associate pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Private burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Cato was born March 3, 1928, in Lamesa to Clair Rice and Mattie Lokey Cato. He was raised in Lamesa, Big Spring, Lubbock and Plainview before the family settled in Amarillo in 1943. He graduated from Amarillo High in 1946. He attended Amarillo College before his entry into the U.S. Army in 1950. He reached the status of corporal and served as a senior electrician and communications man in the 46th Engineers. He married Reba Jo Cunningham in 1952 in First United Methodist Church in Dallas and raised their family in Amarillo. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. for 37 years. He was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church, the Friendship Sunday School Class, Amarillo Photographic Society and the WAGG's Travel Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Jo, in 1999. Survivors include three sons, Robert Cato and wife Vicky of Borger and Russell Cato and wife Terry and Tim Cato and wife Judy, all of Amarillo; a daughter, Patti Fristoe and husband Eddie of Amarillo; a brother, Paul Cato and wife Effie of Columbia Falls, Mont.; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Polley, also known as "Autry" or "Oz," was born July 23, 1960, in Lockney. He was currently employed by Cowhouse Partners as a truck driver. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1979 where he became well-known as one of the district's top fullback players. He earned and won many awards during his lifetime. He went on to play football for Eastern New Mexico University, then on to the Navy where he served four years on the USS Gallant. Before the end of his journey, he was loved and appreciated for being a good friend, father, son and brother who will be missed dearly by all. Survivors include a daughter, Breana Baker and her sisters, Shelley and Vanessa, and their brother, Tyson, all of Portland, Ore.; his mother, Erma Mitchell of Amarillo; two sisters, Yolanda and Arlia Polley of Arlington; and three brothers, Gene, Leslie and Otis Polley of Amarillo. Hazel was born Feb. 21, 1919, in Ajax, La., to W.F. and Claudia Bufkin. The Bufkins moved to Dawson County in the mid-1920s and resided in the Munger community. In 1939 she married J.F. Ferguson. He preceded her in death in 1987. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lamesa. Survivors include two daughters, Diana Schneider of Lamesa and Lorna Hubbard and husband Roger A. Kaylana was born Sept. 15, 1990, in Fort Lewis, Wash., and moved to Canyon in 2002 from Borger. She was a sophomore at Canyon High School where she played the trombone in the Canyon High School band. She loved the outdoors and loved to camp and fish. She loved talking on the phone and text messaging her friends. She will be dearly missed by her family and her many friends. Survivors include her parents, Rebeccah and Greg Goodson of Canyon; her father, Michael Taylor of Borger; a brother, Hagen Goodson of Canyon; a sister, Angela Taylor of Canyon; her grandparents, Jack Freeman and Sharon of Colorado Springs, Colo., Billie Moore of Vancouver, Wash., Gordon Taylor and Annie of Borger and Bob and Ann Goodson of Amarillo. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Honey, as she was affectionately called, was born Nov. 11, 1923, in Adamson, Okla., to Mat and Kate Klucevsek. She owned and ran the Borger Bus Station for 56 years. She had been a Borger resident for 65 years and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was the most giving person and was loved by many. She said the nicest people are from Borger and that she had never met a stranger. The family would like to thank all of those who helped with her care at Golden Plains Community Hospital, Northwest Texas Heart Hospital, Triumph Rehab and BSA Hospice. Also appreciated were the visits, calls, cards, prayers and especially the love shown for our Honey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mat and Kate Klucevsek; an uncle, A.F. "Dutch" Heket; a brother, John Heket; two sisters, Christine Marshall and Katherine Morris; and her beloved son, Richard Allison. Robert Loyd Kelley passed to his eternal reward on Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at Coon Memorial Home in Dalhart at the age of 97; Loyd was born Dec. 29, 1909, in Collingsworth County to T.F. and Vivian Hamilton Kelley. During his lifetime Loyd was married to four wives, Gladys Clifton, Audrey Mae Kiker, Minnie Abla and Lillian Peden. They all preceded him in death. In his early adult life Loyd was employed as a ranch hand for various ranches of the Panhandle. He served as a cook for cattle drives. Later, he operated Kelley's Dairy, and farmed. From 1952 to 1954 he bottled and sold Grade A Raw Milk to customers and grocery stores in Dalhart. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Dalhart. He was also a member of Gideons International. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, loyal friend and faithful Christian worker. He was also preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers; a sister; and a daughter. Survivors left to cherish his memory include a daughter, Mildred Clinkenbeard of Osage Beach, Mo.; two sons, Ray Kelley and wife Donald Ruth of Amarillo and Robert P. Kelley and wife Linda of Marfa; a sister, Dorothy Norcia of Sebestapol, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a "whole host" of friends.
