Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with the Rev. Roy S. Wheeler and Mike Nuthman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Blandford was born June 10, 1925, to Ired and Emma Thomas in Wellington, was raised there and graduated from Wellington High School in 1941. She married C.L. Blandford on June 26, 1942, in Amarillo. She and her husband owned and operated a family business. More than anything she loved being "Mama J" and a homemaker. June was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi, and she loved doing volunteer work for Cal Farley's Boys Ranch. She was a member of Hillside Christian Church, formerly Paramount Terrace Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and especially loved spending time in the mountains at Lake Isabell, Colo. She had a great appreciation and love for butterflies and hummingbirds. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends who loved her very much. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, Steven Lee Blandford in 2006. Survivors include a daughter, Judy Scott and husband Terry of Hurst; a son, Monty Blandford and wife Lydia of Keller; two sisters, Lila Lee Parrish of Sudan and Virginia Tolleson of McLean; four grandsons, Jeff Scott of Hurst, Rhett Blandford and wife Tyra of Amarillo and Brian Blandford and Nicholas Blandford, both of Hurst; a granddaughter, Julee Lacey and husband Todd of North Richland Hills; five great-grandchildren, Landree Lacey, Logan Lacey and Luke Lacey, all of North Richland Hills, and Braxton Blandford and Dalton Blandford, both of Amarillo; and a great-grandchild on the way. She worked as a cook in restaurants. She married Terry Carter on Dec. 11, 1964, in Plainview. She was a member of Arden Road Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Private burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Huey was born March 8, 1943, in Hoisington, Kan., to Leonard and Faye Isetta Wright Fancher. She married Duane Huey on June 30, 1962, in Aztec, N.M. Mrs. Huey was a teacher at Amarillo High School for 29 years. She was also head of the Business Department at AHS, senior sponsor and Sandie Stepper sponsor. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Nicki Roush and husband Darren of Amarillo; a son, Cory Huey and wife Sharon of Amarillo; a brother, Leo Lynn Fancher of Chandler, Ariz.; and five grandchildren, Taylor Huey, Rachel Huey, Megan Huey, Kali Roush and Brandt Roush. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Joiner was born Aug. 12, 1918, to Dalphin and Mary Giles in Dalhart. She loved baking and was free-spirited, strong-willed and family oriented. She was the backbone of her family. Being around her loved ones and friends brought her much joy. Mrs. Joiner was deeply loved and will be really missed. Survivors include a son, Virgil L. Mrs. Schlientz was born Jan. 19, 1930, in Friona. She moved to Amarillo in 1991 from El Paso. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. She married Raymond Schlientz in 1947 in Santa Rosa, N.M. Mrs. Schlientz was blessed with a very loving and gentle spirit. She loved everyone she met. She was a devoted Christian and loved telling others about her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She never complained about her ailments and always had a positive outlook on life. Mrs. Schlientz was an inspiration to her family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters, all of New Jersey, and her husband who passed away in 1973. Stewart; and a brother, James McKay. He joined the Army and met June Crownover and made her his wife for 55 years.
