Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Llano Cemetery with Mark Urquhart, chaplain of Hospice Care of the Southwest, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel, 2800 South Osage St. Dorothy was born Aug. 1, 1928, in Dillard Ark., to Noah and Effie Green. She has resided in Amarillo since 1955. All her life, she worked very hard to care for her family. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by a son, Noah Armer; and her husband, Frank Lucero. Survivors include three daughters, Dottie White and husband Rick and Jewel Perry and husband Randy, all of Amarillo and Betty Glidewell and husband Jack of Fritch; four sisters, Joyce Lodge, Lee Andra Austin, Alice Shelton and Jane Nurnan, all of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Ben Green of Las Vegas and Billy Green of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cara Loyd Mireles Cara Loyd Mireles, 46, of Amarillo died Saturday, May 26, 2007. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel. Burial will be in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Hereford. Mrs. Mireles was born April 22, 1961. She loved bingo and spent much of her free time playing. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved to go shopping and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Mireles; and her mother, Virginia Loyd. Survivors include her husband, Paul; her father, Rodney Loyd; three brothers Rodney Loyd, Michael Loyd and Mark Loyd; three children, Jana Herrera, John Herrera, and Jocob Mireles; and three grandchildren, Azarel Mendoza, Trinity Herrera and Ariel Mireles. For 56 years she loved taking her kids and grandkids to and from school. She was known to most as "mamaw" and "Polly." Mrs. Daniel loved sewing and was a devoted housewife. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband, Dean Daniel; three sons, Carroll Rexrode of Amarillo, Curtis Rexrode and wife Nancy and Alan Rexrode and wife Rita; two stepdaughters, Meredith Paxton and husband Al and Zenna Peck; a sister, Jeanie Wallace; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great- grandchildren. Services will at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Kenneth Smith, pastor of Victory Tabernacle officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Vera was born Jan. 5, 1928, to Thomas Edmon and Myrza Belle Tow in Crosbyton. She grew up in Amarillo and attended Horace Mann and Amarillo High School. In her life, Vera was a servant of the Lord and to others. She found the good in everyone and touched many lives. She married Roy Jewel Phillips on Nov. 8, 1947. They were married for 52 years. Vera was known to many by her nickname "Moses," she was an inspiration and leader in her family. She was a Sunday school teacher most of her life and always attended church, most recently Victory Tabernacle. She played the piano for various churches and organizations. Vera spent many hours playing music with her family. She was a songwriter and vibrant storyteller. She was also a talented seamstress and loved to bake. Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her father, and two sisters. Survivors include her mother; three daughters, Lynda Tomlinson and husband Ronnie, Lynita Roberson and husband Ted and Darla Haddox and husband Mike, all of Amarillo; a son, Howard Phillips and wife Tara of Amarillo; three brothers; three sisters; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who love her dearly. The family will be at 1208 S. Buchanan. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Palo Duro Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Milhoan of Country Church officiating. Burial will be in Palo Duro Cemetery in Wildorado by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Kimball was born Sept. 15, 1936, in Washington, Okla. to Woodrow and Ocie Crouch. She graduated from Vega High School in 1954. She married Donald Kimball in Tucumcari, N.M., on March 13, 1954. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts, being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was very independent and strong. Mrs. Kimball had an unconditional love for her family at all times regardless of the circumstances. There was nothing she wouldn't try at least once. She enjoyed life to the fullest, learning to fly and ride motorcycles. She was a member of NRA, Amarillo Hand Gunners and American Motorcycle Association and IHMSA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Kimball in 2003; and a daughter, Robin in 1958. Genell was born Nov. 20, 1918, in Fredonia, Ala. to John and Cora Butts Hammack. She married Dale Driver on Nov. 2, 1940 in Quanah. Her church membership was held in Fairview Church of Christ in Childress. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale on Oct. 14, 1995; and three sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include a son, James Driver and wife Althea of Lubbock; a granddaughter, Allison Taylor and husband Kevin of Childress; a grandson, Dan Driver and wife Allison of North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Seth Taylor and Kate Taylor; and a sister Ruby Whatley of California. Mr. Stone was born July 6, 1930, in Giles to the late Mr. Albert B. Stone and Mrs. Lilly Mae Proffitt Stone. He was a graduate of Memphis High School. He married Kathryne Walls on May 13,1948, in Memphis. She preceded him in death on May 14, 2003. Bill was a mechanic and owned and operated Bill's Wrecker Service. He was on the volunteer fire department for over 35 years, and a member of the Church of Christ.
