Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Park Place Towers Parlor with Jerry Bell, chaplain of Baptist Community Services, officiating. Burial will be in Littlefield Memorial Park in Littlefield. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St. Mrs. Allison was born May 22, 1916, in Chillicothe. She lived in Crosbyton, Alanreed and Lubbock before moving to Amarillo in 1981. She graduated from Littlefield High School. She worked for Southwestern Public Service in Littlefield and retired in 1981 as senior clerk. She married Frank Allison in 1938 in Clovis, N.M. She and her husband owned and operated a Studebaker dealership in Levelland and farmed near Littlefield. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Amarillo. Survivors include a daughter, Jean Brown and husband Cordell of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; a son, Don Allison and wife Kathie of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Bradley Brown, Kendall Brown, Melissa Root and Erin Cairns; and eight great-grandchildren, Katie Eller-Brown, Sam Brown, Kelsey Brown, Jaycee Anderson, Ashley Root, Nicole Root, J.T. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with David McPherson officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Hayes was born Jan. 5, 1951, in Hobbs, N.M., to Steve and Virginia Hayes. He spent his school years in Carlsbad, N.M., and graduated from Carlsbad Senior High School in 1969. He was very active in sports throughout high school with baseball becoming his passion. He was a hard-throwing, right-hand pitcher for the Cavemen of Carlsbad and made many lifelong friends on the diamond there. On the night he graduated from Carlsbad High, he went to work for Santa Fe Railway. He was drafted into the Army on Oct. 23, 1969, where he was a member of the 3rd Infantry Division in Germany for 18 months. He was honorably discharged on Oct. 20, 1971, at which time he went back to work for Santa Fe Railway, living in Clovis, N.M. He moved to Amarillo in June 2006 and retired from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway in 2007 after 36 years. Mr. Hayes was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a stepson, Kevin Dodson of Guymon, Okla.; two brothers, Jack Hayes of Carlsbad and Hank Manns of Tucson, Ariz.; and many loving aunts, cousins and the railroad family that were so dear to him. Interstate 40. Mr. Calhoun was born Aug. 16, 1932, in Anna, Ill., to Orus and Bertha Calhoun, and grew up in Kingman, Ariz. He was an infantryman wounded in combat during the Korean War, and finished his military service with 16 years in the Air Force as an air traffic controller. He met and married his wife, Lucia, in 1962 while stationed in France. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; two sisters; and a grandchild. Survivors include his wife, Lucia; four sons, Larry Calhoun, Ivan Calhoun, Phillip Calhoun and Paul Calhoun; a daughter, Grazyna Calhoun; a sister, Reta Sutton; and 14 grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marvin Leroy West Marvin Leroy West, 81, of Amarillo died Sunday, May 27, 2007. Ezell was born Sept. 29, 1947, in Hunt County, where he was reared and attended school. He had been a resident of Amarillo for more than 20 years. He served in the U.S. Army from April 1, 1968, to April 1, 1973. He was a Baptist and a former employee of Holly Sugar of Hereford. Ruby was born Aug. 30, 1914, in Bardwell to Edgar and Maggie V. Wood. She lived in Amarillo for 22 years, working for C.R. Anthony. Upon retiring, she moved to Claude in 1990 and lived there until her death. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Claude. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard K. Lee; a sister, Juanita Wood; a brother, Edgar Wood; and a grandson, Todd Ballard. Jo was born Aug. 22, 1925, in Memphis to the late Elmer T. Prater and Willie Martindale Prater. She was a 1942 graduate of Memphis High School and graduated from TCU in 1946 with a business degree and a geology degree. She married J.H. Barbee Jr. on Nov. 27, 1947, in Amarillo. He preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1994. She was a lifelong resident of Memphis. She worked for GTE for more than 30 years in the business office as a supervisor. She was a member of the TCU Alumni, Red River Red Hatters Club, Hospital Auxiliary and First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Winifred Davis and Genevieve Pate. Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Hatley and husband Kirby of Clarendon; three grandchildren, Wes Hatley and wife Christi, Jeff Hatley and wife Sarah and Jennifer Robinson and husband Zack, all of Clarendon; and five great- grandchildren, Bryce Hatley, Jensen Hatley, Brock Hatley, Emeri Robinson and Kasen Hatley, all of Clarendon. Burial will be in Kress Cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Floyd was born Sept. 18, 1942, in Pampa to Beulah and Ross Simmons. Floyd attended and graduated from LeFors High School in 1961. He was a graduate of West Texas State University, Class of 1964, with an industrial arts degree. Floyd was a member of the Association of Texas Professional Educators, the Association of Texas Technology Education and South Plains Industrial Technology Association. Floyd's first and only teaching job brought him to Kress, where he established a state award-winning woodworking program. Floyd was the first industrial arts teacher at Kress. His program enjoyed an excellent reputation for producing quality products and quality craftsmen in the many students whose lives he touched. Floyd and his students were rewarded with many honors during the 41 years he taught at Kress. Floyd married Cynithia Ann Reddell on May 1, 1964, in Canadian. Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert "Bob" Simmons and wife Laura of Canyon; and three grandchildren, Zachary, Britt, and Lindley Simmons, all of Canyon. He was a precious gift entrusted to his parents who brought joy, laughter and extra love to their family. He was a seventh-grade student at Shirley Hall Middle School. Trenton loved sports and longed to be a Weatherford Kangaroo. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and horseback riding was a member of the Weatherford Swim Team and the Weatherford Chivas '94 Soccer Team. His interest also included pottery, origami, hip hop music and dancing as he danced with CMDP Clogging Express Jr. dance team. He was a member of Central Christian Church. Trenton will be remembered for his outgoing friendly personality, that he never met a stranger, his curious interest in science and nature and his never-ending creativity. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, H.R. "Bobby" and Ruth Potter; two uncles, Bruce and Bill Moore; an aunt, Toby Moore; and a dear friend, Jennifer Patton.
