Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday in Angel Funeral Home Chapel, 2209 S. Arthur St., with Timothy Tripplett of The Rock Chapel officiating. Julian was born Jan. 9, 1963, to Cruz and Mary Jessie Arenas. Julian had been a manager in the restaurant industry for more than 20 years before becoming disabled. Julian was a kind and loving father and enjoyed the time he spent with his three children. They often played board games together and he liked watching sports on television with his son. Julian was a simple man, he enjoyed sitting at the park, reading a good book. He was loved and will be missed dearly by his family. Survivors include his parents, Cruz and Mary Jessie Arenas of Amarillo; two daughters, Amanda Arenas of Amarillo and Brandi Arenas of Tucumcari N.M.; a son, Benjamin Arenas of Amarillo; three sisters, Linda Roberts, Lidia Arenas and Bernice Martinez, all of Amarillo; and three brothers, Jessie Arenas of San Antonio and Herman Arenas and Romaldo Arenas, both of Amarillo. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Charles "C.D." Boyd Charles "C.D." Boyd, 86, of Amarillo died Sunday, June 17, 2007. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Boyd was born in Lyra. He married Rosia Lee Collum on Nov. 2, 1946, in Strawn. He served as a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from the city of Amarillo in 1983. He was a member of Fundamental Baptist Church in Wellington. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; three sisters; a grandson, Gordon Leslie Pringle II, in 1975; and a son, Cecil Boyd, in 1980. Survivors include his wife, Rosia Lee Boyd; three daughters, Anna Chandler of Austin, Mildred Beal and husband Freddy of Quail and Geneva Pringle and husband Leslie of Amarillo; two sons, Charles L. Leslie Hight was born Oct. 23, 1911, in Menard County, Texas. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, the New Mexico Cattlemens Association and was director of the Mesa Redondo Cowboy Camp Meeting. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline in 1995; a daughter, Helen Records; a grandson, Matthew Collier; and two sisters, Lorene Brady and Laverne Sellars. Survivors include three sons, G.L. Hight Jr. and wife Dahlia of Lockney, Texas, and Paul Hight and wife Doris and Gerald Hight and wife Lisa, all of Quay; two daughters, Doris Collier and husband Malcom of Amarillo, Texas, and Joan Graham and husband Bill of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Charles Hight of San Angelo, Texas, and Harlan Hight of London, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Mr. Rampy was born Sept. 27, 1941, in Clarendon to James Freeman and Clara Mae Webb Rampy. He was struck with polio at the young age of 8. He was a graduate of Hedley High School. He worked on several ranches before receiving his master's degree from Texas Tech University. He taught at several schools in Texas and New Mexico as an ag teacher. He was a Christian. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Don Rampy and Delbert Rampy; and two sisters, Jo Beth Warner and Onita Thomas. Survivors include his wife, Clara Rampy; a son, James Datis Rampy of Oklahoma City; two stepsons, Rumaldo Camacho and Carlos Camacho; a stepdaughter, Nancy Mitchell; two brothers, Troy Rampy of San Jose, Calif., and Aubrey Rampy of Ingram, Texas; two sisters, Janette Baumberger of Amarillo, Texas, and Willa Bolin of Texoma, Okla.; five stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Elliott was born March 26, 1923, in Gage, Okla. He married, his wife of 61 years, Evelyn K. Holland on March 25, 1944. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and saw action in the Pacific. Mike retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Amarillo in 1981, where he also served as the president of the Texas Postal Clerks Union for many years. Wendy Anne Carr was born June 22, 1976, in Pasadena to Lynn and Patti Benefield. She was a graduate of Clear Lake High School where she was a member of the varsity basketball team. Wendy received her Bachelor of Science degree in communications disorders in May 1999 from the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. She worked with patients at Southwest Cancer Center to find ways to help prevent, cure and treat cancer patients.
