Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Dale Bigham, pastor of Arden Road Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. Sarah was born Nov. 11, 1908, in Knoxville, Tenn. She was a resident of Amarillo for 37 years. Sarah was a child care provider for more than 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Wallace Bales; a daughter, Shirley Culver; and eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Samples Shelley of Como; three grandchildren, Steve Zapach of Amarillo, Angela Pelton and husband Keith of Amarillo; and Chrystal Samples Weeter and husband Jason of Quitman; and five great-grandchildren, Jay, Shelby, Justin, Stevie and Braeden. Mr. Turner was born April 26, 1940, to Judge Elmer and Christine Hugh Dobbs Turner in Dalhart, Texas. He married Vicki Steele on Sept. 2, 1960, in Felt.
