Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Jeff Messer, chaplain of Bivins Memorial Care Center, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Brown was born March 29, 1949, in Merkel, and was raised in Roswell, N.M. Mr. Brown served in the U.S. Army and Marines with one tour in Vietnam. He worked in law enforcement as a police officer for the past 28 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Markham; his aunt, Maymie Telefson; and his mother-in-law, Betty Jane Satterstrom. Survivors include his wife, Karen; four daughters, Michele Speed and husband Kevin, Camill Smith and husband Nick and Brittany Brown, all of Amarillo, and Candace Brown of Claude; two brothers, Steve Brown and wife Ellen and Randy Brown and wife Terry, all of Amarillo; his father-in-law, John Satterstrom of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, Michael, Megan, Nathaniel, Kayleigh, Jordon, Kinzie and Emma; and eight nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery in Dumas by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Robert was born Aug. 10, 1950, in Beaumont to Cletus and Yvnne Kennedy. He lived in Dumas until 1990 and then moved to Amarillo. He served in the U.S. Army Airborne in Vietnam. He was a member of the school board at Trinity Lutheran Church and School. He loved to golf and fish. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He married Nita Ann Hutson on May 15, 1981, in Amarillo. Survivors include his wife, Nita Ann Kennedy; three sons, Christopher Pilgrim and wife Ali of Amarillo, Christopher Reid Kennedy of Telluride, Colo., and Stephen Spencer Kennedy of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Shera Pitt and husband Wendell of Lincoln Park, N.J., and Holly Vanderbush and husband Neil of Bentonville, Ark.; a sister, Sharon Rust of Amarillo; a brother, Cletus Kennedy Jr. and wife Faye of Canon City, Colo.; and nine grandchildren, Drake, Cole, Brock, Dean, Abby, Aden, Marshal, Sammy and Tyler. At the age of 8, she and her family moved to Erick, Okla. She married Edward Killingsworth and they farmed in the Erick area until moving to Kelton in 1936. After retiring from farming in 1973, they moved to Wheeler. She was preceded in death by Edward in July 1998; a granddaughter, Tonya; a great-granddaughter, Ruth; two daughters-in-law, Vondell and Audra; a son-in- law, Wayne Milam; and three brothers, Mickle, Wilson and M.L. Mr. Chavira was born March 2, 1944, to Alfonso and Emma Chavira in San Jose Del Sitio Cohichuahua. He married Amelia Morales on Dec. 15, 1970, in Phoenix. In 1980 he was a Sunday school teacher in Greeley, Colo. In 1981, he became Doctor of Motors Automatic Mechanic Technology. In 1990 he became an ordained layman by Second Baptist Church in Amarillo. He was pastor of Spanish Mission in Wellington from 1990 to 1993. In 1993 he graduated with pastoral ministries of theology. He was a pastor of Primera Iglesia Baustista in Friona from 1993 to 1996. He was also pastor of Primera Iglesia Bausita in Panhandle from 1997 to 2000. He worked for Gilvin & Terrell for 12 years as a mechanic and volunteered as a chaplain at the Clements Unit for five years. Mr. LaMunyon was born April 9, 1958, in Tacoma, Wash., and had lived in Perryton for 10 years, moving from Laverne. He was a rancher, managing the family ranch in Beaver County, Okla. He had worked for Perryton Feeders for the past 10 years. He loved spending time with his two sons and attending ball games. He was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla., and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Perryton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard LaMunyon, in 1998; and his grandparents, Dennis and Denzel LaMunyon of Laverne and Harry and Neva Carlisle.
