Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m Tuesday in Morrison Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Wait, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Flag detail by American Legion Post No. 224 of Dumas. Jack was born May 10, 1926, in Dumas to Johnny V. and Pearl Mills. He was a graduate of Dumas High School with the class of 1943. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the Admiral's Flagship as a radioman. He married Naomi Ruth "Boots" Hilton on Aug. 26, 1946, in Dumas. Jack was a farmer and had served as a county commissioner. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he was a longtime deacon. He loved and supported the youth program and was a sound man at the church for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and a sister. Survivors include his wife, Naomi Ruth "Boots" Mills; two sons, Danny Mills and wife, Mary Susan of Cary, N.C., Paul Mills and wife Cathy of Franklin, Tenn.; and five grandchildren, Melissa, Pamela, David, Joanna and Riley. Mrs. Hayes was born Oct. 2, 1917, in Collin County the daughter of William and Lula Eaves. She married George Hayes on Dec. 18, 1939, in Lubbock. Mrs. Hayes was a hard worker, many times hoeing cotton from sunup till sundown. She also loved dolls and quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, two sons: Larry and Royce Hayes, a great-grandson: Rylee Cayden Hayes; five brothers; and six sisters. Mrs. Cargile was born April 27, 1911, in Ryan, Okla. She married Guy Cargile on Nov. 22, 1927 and moved to Pampa in 1928 and she called Pampa home the rest of her life. Mr. Cargile preceded her in death on June 16, 1966. After his death she cared for others' children as well as caring for her own home. She was a member of Central Baptist Church where she worked for a time in the nursery and in Vacation Bible School. Mrs. Hatcher was born June 20, 1917, in Batesville, Ark., to Mr. and Mrs. Levi McElroy. She married H.W. "Buster" Hatcher on April 13, 1935, in Quanah. "Bill" Winborn PAMPA - W.H. "Bill" Winborn, 89, died Sunday, July 1, 2007. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Michael Erickson, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Winborn was born March 19, 1918, in Ganado to Coyle and Katie Nesbit Winborn. He was the fourth of four children, all of whom have preceded him in death. He married Rosemond Viereck on May 25, 1940, in Yorktown. She preceded him in death on Feb. 26, 1998. Mr. Winborn served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked in south Texas for Sun Oil and transferred to Pampa in 1950, where he was lease operator for the duration of his 43 years with Sun Oil. He owned and operated Cock O Walk Drive In Restaurant from 1963 to 1975. He loved to play golf. He worked hard all of his life and loved his family very much. Survivors include two sons, Coyle Winborn and wife Sue of Horseshoe Bay and Craig Winborn and wife Donna of Midland ; five grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; and long time companion Evelyn Birch of Pampa. Burial will be in Texline Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors Dumas. Charles Marion Stewart was born Oct. 20, 1937, in Perico to Anna Lunora and Robert Marion Stewart. On Oct. 17, 1956 he married Carol Ann Lamb in Clayton, N.M. He retired from Colorado Interstate Gas Co. where he had worked 23 years. Charles loved his family and enjoyed the game of football. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Adrian Rodriguez; and a great-granddaughter, Kaley Stewart. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Patricia Jean Gruber joined the Lord Sunday, July 1, 2007, in Houston. Patricia was born Oct. 23, 1934, in Magic City to Solon Alvis and Jewell Reeves. She grew up in Shamrock and was a graduate of Shamrock High School and attended Amarillo College in Amarillo. While in Amarillo she met and married Jerome Edward Gruber on June 12, 1954. They were an inseparable couple until he preceded Patricia in death in June of 1997. Patricia was dearly loved by her children, daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Tim McGinty and grandson John Patrick of Houston, daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Rick Roper and grandchildren, Kristopher and Kourtney Kizer and Richie and Jake Roper, all of Waco, and daughter Kristi Gruber of Houston. She is also survived by three sisters, Doris Johnson of Anaheim, Calif., Alveeta Corbitt of Arlington and Joy Knutson of Pampa; three brothers Solon Alvis of Corsicana, Larry Reeves of Shamrock and Dick Reeves of Houston; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Walls passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007 in Amarillo. Jiggs was born Aug. 31, 1919, in Leslie to the late Mr. Thomas Walls and Mrs. Kitty Ingram Walls. He attended grammar school in Leslie and was a graduate of Lakeview High School. He then went on and attended college at West Texas State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He married Lillie Mae Richerson on Aug. 31, 1946, in Estelline. She preceded him in death on April 11, 1996. Jiggs was a lifelong resident of Hall County and a farmer. He was the superintendent of the Lakeview Water and Sewer System for 39 1/2 years. He was also a member of the American Legion and Hedley Senior Citizens. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Freida Pitts and Susie Hopper. He preceded her in death in August 1977. She then married Willie Winburne in Bryan in 1985. He preceded her in death in 1990. She was a grocery store clerk and a librarian assistant. After selling the business she was a groomer for Coronado Pet Shop until last year. She was very gifted with animals and was known for her kind spirit. She was preceded in death by her father, Troy Lee Maynard in 1987; a brother, Bobby Lee Maynard in 1964; and a sister, Lee Wise in 1999. Mr. Griego retired from Region 16 and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He married Carolina Tapia on April 14, 1949, in Santa Rosa, N. M. He was preceded in death by two children, Victoria Griego in January 1998 and Tony Joe Griego in November 2006. Margaret Catherine Brydia Tyler, formerly of Guymon, graduated from this earthly life to her heavenly home early on June 28, 2007 in Amarillo, Texas. She had lived in Guymon for over 50 years before she and Stanley retired to the Craig Methodist Retirement Center in Amarillo in April 2000. Margaret was born Dec. 16, 1915 in Ada, to Truman "Senator" and Laura Whipple Brydia. She attended East Central College, Ada, Okla. and also worked as a nurse assistant in Ada. Margaret was married to Capt. Stanley Tyler on Jan. 26, 1942, in Dallas, Texas and they served in several army bases throughout the U.S. before returning to their native Oklahoma in 1945 after Lieutenant Colonel Tyler retired from Army life. Margaret was a loyal Presbyterian all her life, having been a member of First Presbyterian Church, Guymon, for more than 50 years, before transferring her membership to Westminster Presbyterian Church in Amarillo in 2000. She will be remembered as a woman who lived life to the fullest with a great capacity to love. She was known for her wit and humor, strong convictions, her fashion sense, and her lust for life...she will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mildred Brydia and Mary Ellen Brydia; and a brother, Truman "Jan" Brydia Jr. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Stanley Thomas Tyler; a daughter, Lynda Ann and Dr. J.
