Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Robert E. Field officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Horton was born Aug. 18, 1918, in Perry. She was raised in Marlin and had lived in Amarillo for 60 years. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. C. Horton; a son, Donald Horton; and a daughter, Debra Horton Williams. Morris and wife Christie of Pampa and Donnie Lee Hannick and wife Stacy of Perryville, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Lilly was born Nov. 4, 1933, in Turkey to Callie and Lura McKay. She married Grover Thomas on April 15, 1956, in Clovis N.M. Survivors include her husband, Grover; a son, Donald Thomas of Plainview; two daughters, Norlin Mora of Amarillo and Ann Collie of Plainview; three sisters, Geneva Huffty and Rosie Echtermerer, both of Odessa, and Nelda McDowell of Turkey; a brother, Billy McKay of Odessa; seven grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Howe, pastor, and the Rev. Syl Moore of Lubbock, officiating. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery by George Price Funeral Home. Mr. Stephens was born Dec. 22, 1940, in Lubbock County. He grew up in Abernathy and later moved to Anton, where he farmed for many years. He was a member of the Anton School Board and coached Little Dribblers there. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Anton. He moved to Levelland in 1984 and started M & S Construction and Zane's Specialty Building Products. He was a member and deacon of Second Baptist Church and helped support Upwards Basketball. Most importantly, he loved the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was a loving husband, Dad, and Papa. He married Doris Grace on June 25, 1958, in Muleshoe, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 14, 2004. He later married Lynda Weige on May 14, 2005, in Levelland. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Roger Lee Stephens. Survivors include his wife, Lynda Stephens; a son, Zane Stephens and his wife, Lucretia of Levelland; two daughters, Melodi Tate and husband Terry of Spade and Lori Miller of Amarillo; a son-in-law, Donald Miller of Amarillo; a brother, Darrell Stephens of Abernathy; a sister, Verna Lee Salmon of Berthoud, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Mitzi Summers and husband Michael of San Diego; a stepson, Chris Weige of Austin; grandchildren, Regina and Jered Mills, Tiffany and Shannon Philley, Zack and Melissa Stephens, Nick Stephens, and Sarah Tate; three great-grandchildren, Meghan and Mariah Stephens and Matthew Philley; and many other relatives and friends. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oklahoma John Lewis Barnes HARDESTY, Okla. - John Lewis Barnes, 83, died Saturday, July 14, 2007, in Guymon.
