Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Glen Walton of Bell Avenue Church Of Christ, officiating. Entombment will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Green was born July 6, 1912, in Jones County. She married Herman Green on July 11, 1931, in Frederick, Okla. They lived in Sweetwater for 23 years. They later moved to Amarillo, where she lived for 47 years and worked for Palo Duro High School for 22 years until retirement. She was a member of several school organizations, Texas Teacher Retirement Association and The Texas School Food Service Association, also a member of Secret Sisters at church. She was a sports fan who supported athletes. She loved her family, gardening, shopping and eating at Cracker Barrel. Her family remembers her by being a strong-willed, loving mother, and she will be greatly missed. Survivors include a son, Harold Green and wife Murlene of Odessa; a daughter, Pat Murdick and husband Ken of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Koty Murdick of Burleson, David Green of Greenville, S.C., Karen Evans of Broken Arrow, Okla., Kenda Richardson of New Deal and Kyla Justus of Amarillo; and eight great- grandchildren. Mrs. Rhodes was born Oct. 7, 1929, in Memphis to Johnny and Winnie Edith Hullett Whisenant. She married Dan Rhodes on June 7, 1997, in Amarillo. She worked for S&S Cycles as a secretary prior to her death. They moved to Amarillo, where he was a resident for 53 years, worked for Bell Helicopter for 22 years and was UAW President for 12 years. He was a member of Southwest Baptist Church. He loved to travel, cared for others and loved country and western music. She came to Windy Valley area at the age of 8 in a covered wagon with her father, two sisters and two brothers. She spent most of her life working in dry cleaners in Clarendon and the San Jacinto area of Amarillo. She moved to Amarillo in 1949. When Luskey's Western Wear opened, she did their alterations along with several individuals. Myrtle was a member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1945; and a son, Joe Wayne Dilli, in 1987. Survivors include a daughter, Rose Wynelle D. Richards and husband Gary of Amarillo; a daughter-in-law, Ladelle C. Dilli of Fort Morgan, Colo.; five grandsons, Dr. T. Shirley was born March 1, 1922, in Plainview to Curtis and Lou Ella Thomas. The family moved to Hereford, where she graduated from high school. She married and moved to Stratford in 1942, where she was a homemaker and mother of two daughters. Later, she worked for SPS, Pioneer Gas Co. and Texaco Bulk Plant. As a faithful member of First United Methodist Church, Shirley served in a number of ministries. Upon her move to Amarillo, she became a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church and attended the Lamplighters Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by a sister; a brother; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Holloway was born Aug. 6, 1921. She was the second child of 11 born to Ray Doerfler and Apolonia Gruber Doerfler. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy. She married Landon T. Baldwin in January 1940, and together they raised their five children until his death on Aug. 20, 1957. She worked for Walsh Food/Artic Frozen Foods from 1957 to 1983. On October 22, 1983, she married H.L. "Doc" Holloway and moved to Dumas. She was active in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Dumas and Meals on Wheels until her health declined and she moved back to Amarillo in 2002. The family appreciates the loving help VistaCare Hospice gave our Mother during her final days. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Landon T. Baldwin and "Doc" Holloway; a beloved son, Lanny D. Baldwin; her parents; four sisters; and a brother. She was a graduate of Hot Springs High School in the top 10 percent of her class. She participated in all sports and was a cheerleader, majorette and twirler. She married Joe Merle Keel on May 24, 1952, in Truth or Consequences, N.M. She was a Rainbow Worthy Advisor, accomplished horsewoman, barrel racer and rodeo queen court member. She participated in the celebration of the township name change from Hot Springs to Truth or Consequences. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Truth or Consequences, and was currently a member of the Nocona Hills Non Denominational Church in Nocona. She was an artist and enjoyed oil painting, she made floral arrangements, enjoyed crafts, sewing, RV travel and outdoor activities. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Joleen Keel and Debra Aline Keel, both on March 17, 1973; her father, William Thomas Norton, on May 18, 1994; her mother, Zelma Florence Dalton Norton, on Feb. 11, 1995; and a brother, Billy Norton, on April 5, 2004.
