He was born Homer Littleton Sharp in Strawberry, Sharp County, Arkansas to Ephriam Edmon and Melissa Evelyn Saffell Sharp. He changed his name to Home Leslie Sharp and then to Home Lloyd Sharp. He was Homer Lloyd until he died. He married first Ella Ruth Robbins and their children were: William Coleman Sharp, Lora Helen Genive Sharp, and George Lloyd (H.L.) Sharp. He married second my mother Sarah Elizabeth (S.E.) Odom McClelland. She was a young widow. Homer and S. E. had the following children: Wilma Oline, Melba Eugenie, Neil Wilson, Melissa Evelyn, Henry Lloyd, William Gail and my self, Ira May (Tootie).
