(It was really Sunday) At his request there will be no services. Cremation will be by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Lemons was born in Shady Grove on Aug. 12, 1932. He had been a resident of Amarillo since 1938. He was a member of Painters Local for 40 years. He was a builder and remodeler and was an owner of That Precious Store. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Peggy, on Oct. 10, 2001; and a son in 1961. Survivors include a daughter, Cathy Lockhart of Amarillo; two sons, Rick Lemons of Amarillo and Steve Lemons of Dallas, all with very special spouses; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Catherine Lusby and Wanda Murphy, both of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to Multiple Sclerosis Society, 6222 Canyon Drive, Amarillo, TX 79109; or a favorite charity.
