All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** From the files of June Tuck PEOPLES, FANNIN HUNTER - Ages 63, one of Rains county's pioneers fell died at his home in Point yesterday from heart failure. He was born in Washington county, Tenn., on April 15, 1846, came to Texas at the age of 12 or 13 years and settled with his parents near Sulphur Bluff, in Franklin County, where he lived until his marriage to Mary F. Huffman at the age of 26, and at age 28 he moved near Saltillo and lived there about two years and then moved to Rains county where he spent the balance of his days. He is survived by his wife, daughter and one son, D. S. Peoples, who is a druggist in Point. The funeral will be from his home and burial in the Lone Star cemetery where his mother is buried. (S.S.
