Mrs. Kiser was born November 2,1921 in Bagwell,Texas. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husand, Oscar Kiser of Canyon; one daughter, Glenda Sue Kiser of Canyon; her parents, Henry and Sallie Hastings of Bagwell; one brother, Henry N. Hastings of Bagwell; and a number of other relatives. Services will be Monday Oct 11, 1951 at Dixie Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Blanton Creek Cemetery,Bagwell,Texas. Ambulance Runs On Two Emergency Calls Monday Night Canyon Times Newspaper Canyon,Texas Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kiser were in Neblett Hospital Tuesday morning suffering serious injuries from a car wreck that happened about 11:00 o'clock Monday night. The wreck occurred about one half mile south of Ralph Switch, on Highway 87. Oscar Kiser, who was unconscious when the ambulance got there, suffered from severe cuts about the back of his head. There were also a long gash on the left side of his face and a similar gash on the right side. Syble Kiser, wife of Oscar Kiser was still unconscious Tuesday morning. Her condition was also reported as serious. She was also suffering from many cuts and lacerations. The wreck occurred when the '42 model Ford struck a soft shoulder of the highway. Formerly the Kisers lived in the Pavilion Trailer Court in Amarillo. He had been working for the Stewart Brothers Dry Wall Company. He was on his way to Lubbock to seek employment in that city. The car was reported as being demolished and Mr. and Mrs. Kiser in critical condition. Although riding with them was Mr. Kiser's half-brother and the 7- year old daughter of the Kiser's, these two were unhurt. Syble Hastings Kiser (the deceased) was my grand-aunt. My grandfathers sister. ***************************************************************************** Mrs. Kiser Dies Of Injuries From Automobile Crash Mrs. Syble Odell Kiser died in Neblett Hospital at 2:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. Her death was the result of a car wreck Monday night about 11 miles south on Highway 87. Oscar Kiser, husband of the deceased, left Neblett Hospital at 2:15 Saturday afternoon. The Kiser's had formely lived at the Pavilion trailer court in Amarillo and were enroute to Lubbock. Mr. Kiser, who had been working for Stewart Brothers Dry Wall Company, was going to seek employment in that city. The accident occurred when the car hit a soft shoulder beyond the pavement. Mrs. Kiser never regained consciousness and her husband, Oscar Kiser, was also seriously injured. The Kiser's 7-year old daughter and Mr. Kiser's half- brother were also in the car but these two were unhurt. The 29-year-old housewife and mother of 7-year-old Glenda Sue Kiser, was born in Bagwell,Texas. Arrangements are pending with Dixie Funeral Home. ---
