Office of A.H. SPLAWN, Proprietor of The Corner Saloon and Billiard Hall Clarksville, Texas, 5/11/1892 Dear Sister I sent you two units clothes by mail. I sent the long pants for Anthony. I though they would be best for him but if you still want knee pants let me know & I will still send them. Let him keep this but I sent size 12 instead of 11 which I think will be full small for him. Let me Know when the Exhibition comes off. I may come out as I want to come out this summer some time. also let me know which station to get off at on the new Rail Road as I want to come that way. Tell Bettie I dont know whether I answered her letter or not. if not that I will write to her some time also. tell Oscar that I will write to him. My health has been good all this spring since I got over the La Grippe. I have bought out Both of my partners here & at Albion. I am all alone now and in a shape to make some money. I would like to have $400.00 or $500.00 until fall. If you have got it and can spare it untill then. I will pay it back then without fail. also remember all that I make will go to you and the children when I die so if you can spare that amt. Dont be uneasy for you will get it back. Yours T.
