A. H. SPLAWN Proprietor The Corner Saloon and Billiard Hall Clarksville, Texas, Aug 23 1892 Martha, Our school commences on Sept 5th so you had better send Maggie so she can get here by that time. I will meet her in Marshall. I think it best for her to start when the school does & she can board until we get a house built. When you get ready to come you can do so & if the house is not ready you can stay on the River until it is finished it will be 1st Dec or 1st Janry before it will be done. Send Maggie to Olla & let her take the train on Friday Sept 2nd for Alexandria & let her take the night train at Alexandria on Friday night & that will put her in Marshall about noon on Saturday & I will be there & if she fails to take that train I will wait in Marshal for her on the next train which will leave Alexandria on Saturday the 3rd. My health is still good. Love to all Yours A H Splawn
