William John Hoover, 55, died at 8:15 a.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital [Kermit TX] after a short illness. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Cooper Funeral Chapel with burial in Kermit Cemetery. He was born Aug 26, 1914 in Clarksville, TX. He was superintendent for Dunn Oil Co of Kermit. He was a Baptist. He had lived here 12 years, moving here from Fredrick OK., where he had lived for 16 years. He was married to Eve Iscott Sharp Sept 16, 1933 in Lawton, OK. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Melvin Lee Hoover of Dalhart and Michael Thomas Hoover of the home; three daughters, Betty Jean Brown of Tipton OK, Mrs Frances Geraldine Arnold of Kermit and Miss Cathy Jan Hoover of the home; his mother, Mrs Ludee Hoover of Kermit; three brothers, Holbert Hoover of Mineral Wells and Wilbert Hoover and Riley Hoover, both of Los Angeles CA; two sisters, Mrs Mage Spivey of Kermit and Mrs Rorena Conway of Eunice NM and eight granchildren.
