Noah Lilly died of acute Gastritis on his plantation in the Southern 
District of Red River County. He was in his 74th year of his age. 
He was born in Marlin County, North Carolina, in1771; emigrated to 
Tennessee at an early day, and from whence he came to Texas in 1837.
