G. Hall, Jr. 67, longtime Big Spring resident, died unexpectedly around 6:30 p.m. Friday of an apparent heart attack. Funeral services will be held at Nalley-Pickle Rosewood Chapel Monday with the hour to be announced. Burial will be in Trinity Memorial Park. Hall had rushed out in the street near his home at 1501 Scurry to pick up a small dog that had been struck by a car. Shortly after that, he suffered the apparent attack and was rushed to Hall- Bennett Hospital where he died shortly after his arrival. Born in Pecos on Nov. 6, 1908, he moved to Big Spring when a small child. He lived here the rest of his life. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. G. (Sam) Hall and the nephew of the late Dr. G. T. Hall, all early residents. His father operated a garage here during the J920s. He married Delma Fulford at Lubbock on January, 25, 1934. He attended New Mexico Military Institute, Wentworth College and graduated from Texas Tech. He coached one year at Eola before returning to Big Spring where he owned and operated Hall Venetian Blinds for many years. He was a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include his widow, Delma, and a son, Lt. Col. Sam Hall who works at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Three grandchildren also survive. A daughter, Karen, preceded him in death in 1955. Her birthday would have been Friday.
