Mrs. Eda L. Kimbrough, member of a pioneer West Texas ranching family and 
widow of the late Rankins B, Kimbrough, died yesterday in a hospital. Mrs. 
Kimbrough's husband was a well-known El Paso banker and business man. Mrs. 
Kimbrough was born in Pecos. She was the daughter of the late E. 0. Lochausen, 
an early day cattleman, and the late Julia Ardoin Lochausen, a direct 
descendant of Dr. Anson Jones, the last president of Texas under the Republic. 
She was educated at Mulholland School in San Antonio and attended Madame de 
Jarneis Finishing School in New York City. She later studied voice abroad, 
where she resided for many years. Mrs. Kimbrough was president of the Bundles 
for Britain organizations during World War II, and a member of the boards of 
the El Paso Symphony Assn., and the Community Concert Assn. She served as vice 
president of the Arts and Letters Society and was a member of the board of the 
El Paso County Humane Society. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Ernest 
Myles of El Paso, Mrs. Bernhard von Aswege and Mrs. E. A. Gschwind, both of 
Los Angeles; three brothers, Woodruff Lochausen of El Paso, Theodore and 
Vernon Lochausen, both of Los Angeles. Funeral services will be held at 10 a. 
m, Friday at the Harding and Orr Montana avenue chapel with the Rev. B. M. G. 
Williams and the Rev. Robert T. Gibson officiating. Burial will be in 
Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Harding and Orr.
