Jack Oates, 65, of San Antonio, died Monday. Funeral mass was held Wednesday 
afternoon in the St. Pius X Catholic Church with interment in the Fairview 
cemetery. He was born in Pecos July 22, 1910 and was a longtime resident of 
San Antonio. Survivors include his wife; four sons, which includes Don R. 
Oates of Kerrville and Robert Oates of Fredericksburg; five daughters; one 
sister and 10 grandchildren.
