BUCKEYE-Services for John B. Patterson, 68, who died Wednesday in Maryvale 
Hospital in Phoenix, will be at 2 p.m. today in the First Southern Baptist 
Church. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Phoenix. Mr. Patterson was 
born in Pecos, Tex., and came to Arizona in 1948. He lived in Glendale two 
years before coming to Buckeye. He was a farmer and cattleman until 1960 when 
he opened the J. B. Patterson Insurance Agency. He had been a member of a 
Masonic lodge for more than 50 years and a member of the Desert Caballeros of 
Wickenburg for 11 years. Mr. Patterson was a former member of the Maricopa 
County Sheriff's Posse. He is survived by his wife, Ida; two sons, Clifford 
and Winston, both of Buckeye; one daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Miller of La Jolla, 
Calif.; a brother, Bishop of Peoria; a brother out of state; and six 
grandchildren.
