"It [is] ordered by the Court that the County Treasurer of Refugio County pay out of the School fund the tuition of the following indigent Children viz: To Mr. Campbell teacher at St. Mary's the tuition of James Roark 56 days $5.60 Toby Reid 11 days $1.10 Stephen Dumphrey 39 days $3.90 And to Mrs. Campbell, teacher at St. Mary's the tuition of Laura Reid 32 days $3.20 Victoria Bellis 58 days $5.80 To Mrs. O'Connor School teacher at Lamar the tuition of Marget Lambert 18 days $1.80 To Mrs. C.F.V. McGrew, the tuition of Katie Glynn 53 days $5.30 James Glynn 20 days $2.20 Johannas (??) Whitus 55 days $5.50 amounting in all to the sum of Thirty four and 40/100 Dollars and the County Treasurer is ordered to pay the same on the order of the Chief Justice."
