She was a former resident of Franklin. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Sunday at the Franklin Baptist Church with Rev. J.L. Wallace & Rev. Justice Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery. Mrs. Lomax was born & had lived most of her life in Robertson Co. She had attended the Old Baylor Female College at Belton. She was the widow of John Lomax, former high school teacher, county superintendent, and president of the First National Bank of Franklin. Mrs. Lomax was a charter member of the Womens Reading Club of Franklin and a memeber of the 20th century Mothers Club. She was an active member of the Baptist Church and had taken part in many church, school, and civic activities. Survivors include four sons; Hill Lomax of Franklin, Major Brenton Lomax of Colorado Springs, CO., Lee Lomax of Quitman, and Houston Lomax of New Boston; a daughter, Miss Lucy Belle Lomax of Jefferson City, MO.; a sister, Mrs. Prentice Wooten of Hammond; a half-sister, Mrs. Richard Morris of Claude; three brothers, Jay Hill of Baston, Walter Hill of Houston, Arthur Hill of Phoenix, AZ.; and seven grandchildren.
