Negro Killed by Car.

Garland, Tex., March 26 (Special). -- Paul Propes, 39, was killed instantly
here Thursday afternoon when he was struck by a car driven by Earl Hall,
former sheriff of Rockwall County, on the main highway, just inside of the
city limits. Propes was hit when he ran onto the highway to get out of the way
of a falling limb of a tree, which was being trimmed. The accident was termed
unavoidable on the part of Mr. Hall.
