T. Preston and Miss Beatrice Richardson were united in marriage Tuesday evening, December 27, at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. E. A. Richardson, 1305 Eighth Street. Rev. H. D. Marlin, pastor of the First Methodist Church, spoke the words which made the popular couple man and wife. Guests at the wedding included: Mrs. R. E. Crockett, Los Angeles, Calif., sister of the bride; Dr. and Mrs. A. S. Love, Miss Isabelle Richardson, Milburn Harvey, Geo. Dougherty, Clyde Holliday, Mrs. H. D. Marlin, Francis Holliday, Mrs. and Mrs. M. B. Webb. The bride was dressed in a blue and white suit and carried an arm bouquet of pink rose buds with streamers of pink ribbons and sweet peas. Mrs. Preston is a graduate of the Ballinger high school, completing her course here with the class of '29. She has resided here for several years and is a popular member of the younger set. Following graduation from Ballinger high school in 1927 the groom attended Baylor University, Waco, and Simmons University, Abilene. Recently he has been connected with local business enterprises and has made a host of friends. After a brief wedding trip the couple will be at home at Pearsall, Texas. Copied from a newspaper article in my Grandmother's scrapbook. Believed to be from the Ballinger Ledger. Note: Beatrice Richardson and John Thomas Preston were married 27 December 1932 in Ballinger, TX.
