GENERAL AFFIDAVIT State of Texas County of Hill in the matter of application Nathan Curbo for Pension on the on this 22nd of March 1893 appeared Nathan Curbo aged 81 address Whitney Texas. I never before have applied for penison. If the words was reched it was through a mistake. I never had any name written differently from this way. I now have it written. I never signed any paper myself I never could write any name. I do not remember the number of the land warrants that I rec'd my residence now is in Hill County, Texas, I do not know the residence of any comrade who served with me. That he is the claimant in the case and that in the latter part of April 1892 he executed a declaration for pension under the general pension law while application was filed by his attorneys N. W. Willis. In the latter part of October 1892 he applied for pension under the act of July 1892. The service given in both applications was the same. In his affidavit filed March 27, 1893 he stated that he never applied for pension before which was an error caused by person who wrote the affidavit not understanding the requirements. Affidavit futher declares that he is unable to write his name.
