Hopson upon the person of one Livi Johnson (part is unreadable) Description of the Murderer: Greene B. Hopson is about 5' 8" or 5'10", 40 years old, thin visage, fair skin, & beginning to turn gray, blue eyes, husky voice; when walking he holds his head to one side, looking towards the ground nearly all the time; when he is conversing with anyone he avoids looking him in the face, speaking mostly when looking down; he does not read well of nights?; has once been a celebrated horse racer & gambler in Lumpkin, GA. Having determined to remove to Tennessee, induces me to offer the following valuable property for sale viz: One tract of land, 13 mi. west of the town of Henderson, containing 3000 acres, between 300 & 400 in cultivation. There is a new frame Gin house, 60 saw Gin stand, and a good Mill on it. Houses of all kinds sufficient for the place, good never failing springs of water, also about 40 Negroes, 30 of them hands, 14 or 15 head of Mules & Horses, 4 wagons, 4 yoke of Oxen, about 50 head of Cattle, 200 head of Hogs, Corn & Fodder sufficient for the place for the next year.
