Rev. A. D. Munsinger officiated with burial in the Laneville Cemetery. Armstrong, who lived in the Laneville area most of his life, died Tuesday at his home of a sudden illness. He was born in Arkansas and was a retired carpenter and painter. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Armstrong; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Randles of Kansas, and Mrs. Bonnie Flanagan, Mt. Enterprise; five sons, Loyd Armstrong, New London, Charlie Armstrong, Kansas, Bil Armstrong, Alta Loma, Cecil Armstrong, Arcadia, and Emmitt Armstrong, Texas City; two sisters, Mrs. Bird Watkins, Dallas, and Mrs. Margie Rexrod, Laneville; two brothers, Buddy Armstrong, Minden, and Johnnie Armstrong, Henderson; 23 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
