The obituary for Bessie H. Boyd read:

Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie H. Boyd, 71 of the Jacobs Community, Rt. 2
Overton, will be held at 3:30 pm Thursday at the Bryan Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Ben Waltman officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs.
Boyd died at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday (18 July 1978) at Henderson Memorial Hospital
after a brief illness.

She was born June 2, 1907 in Georgia and had been a resident of Rusk County for
37 years. Mrs. Boyd was also a member of the Pirtle Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Mr. Henry Boyd of Overton and one sister Mrs.
Lonie Garner of Whitesburd, Georgia.

Pallbearers will be Sam Bass, Bartley Bass, Virgil Boyd, Joe Horton, J.C Warren
and Roy Skaggs.


Note: Bessie H. Boyd was the wife of Henry John Boyd b. 1 Dec 1906 Georgia to
Wylie 'Lee' Boyd and his wife Lavisie 'Vicie' Warren.
