Services for Mrs. C.H. Hedge (Lonie Serene Warren), 88, a lifelong resident of Rusk County, will be held at the First United Methodist Church here Wednesday at 10 am with the Rev A. Wayne Jones and Dr. A.D. Lemons officiating. Interment will be in New Prospect Cemetery under the direction of Crawford-A.Crim Funeral Home. Mrs. Hedge, a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Gains-Goems Sunday School class here, died in Henderson Memorial Hospital at 9:45 pm Monday after a lengthy illness. She was born May 21, 1891 in the Oakland Community of Rusk County and had been a Henderson resident since 1931. Mrs. Hedge held a life membership in the United Methodist Women and was a volunteer worker at Henderson Memorial Hospital through the Gray Ladies Unit of the Red Cross. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8pm Tuesday. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral. She is survived by several step-children, including: W. Prentiss Hedge, Mrs. Ellen H. Sammons, Mrs. Roger (Myrtle) Hale, Mrs. Kathryn H. Sneed and Johnny Hedge all of Henderson; Raymond H. Hedge of Tyler, Mrs. Sally H. Gary of Beaumont, Mrs. Melvin (Betty) Wilson of Shreveport, LA, and Cully H. Hedge of Houston. Pallbearers will be Charlie Shaw, Ted Nelson, Gordon Brown, George Warren, Dr. Hugh M. Phillips and Marcus Watson. Note: Lonie Serene Warren was the daughter of Uriah G Warren of Henderson, and the 2nd wife of Cullie H. Hedge.
