Kilgore - Graveside services for Miss Myrtis Dean Watkins, 106 of Henderson,
will be held at 11 am Thursday, Sept 8, 2005, at the Lakewood Cemetery in
Henderson with the Rev Dr William J Ingersoll officiating. Ms Watkins passed
away Friday, Sept 2, 2005, in Tyler.

Ms Watkins was born in Rusk County on Jan 21, 1899, to the late Dr J E and
Claudia Watkins. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of
Henderson. Ms Watkins was a graduate from the University of Texas, where she
earned a Master's Degree in education. She went on to teach history for many
years in Henderson.

One niece as welll as her loving and devoted caregivers and friends survive her.
