Homer Roy and WARREN, Ida Leora died on Ida: Feb 25, 1968 Homer: Aug 9, 1979, in Overton and Mt. Enterprise. "Services for Homer R. Warren, 60, of Route 2, Mt Enterprise, will be held in the chapel of Crawford-A Crim Funeral Home here Saturday at 2 pm with Rev. Tom C. Woods officiating. Interment will be in Pirtle Cemetery. Warren, a retired Chief Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force, died in Houston's Herman Hospital at 6:55 p.m. Thursday following a brief illness. Full military services will be conducted at the graveside by an honor guard from Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, LA. Warren was born in Rusk County March 16, 1919. Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Mamie Warren of Henderson; two sons, Bill Warren of Houston and David Kester of Rio Vista, Johnson County; a daughter, Mrs. Linda Kendricks of Grandview; two brothers Floyd and J.C. Warren, both of Henderson; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Warren Hall of Henderson and Mrs. Lela Katherine Alexander of Overton, and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bill Warren, Scooter Phillips, Sam Summers, Ray Hall, Robert Hall and M.J. Pipsaire." Ida Leora Warren was a member of Pinehill Baptist Church and died age age 61 on Feb 25, 1968. A lifelong Rusk County resident, Mrs. Ida Leora Warren of Route 2, Overton, died at 8 a. m. Sunday at Henderson Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services are pending at Crawford-A.Crim Funeral Home awaiting the arrival from Vietnam of Mrs.Warren's son, Joe Thompson. Mrs. Warren, 61, is survived by her husband, A. H. Warren of Route 2, Overton; seven sons, Gerald Thompson of Dickinson, Willie Thompson of Odessa, Frank Thompson of Pecos, Dan Thompson of Ore City, Ben Thompson and George Thompson of Longview and the Vietnam serviceman, Joe Thompson; a step-son, J.D. Thompson of New London; a daughter, Mrs. Martha E. Herron of Tyler; three brothers, Wesley Freeman of Henderson and Arthur and Allen Freeman of Route 1, Overton; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Sherman of Moor Park, Calif.and 17 grandchildren.Warren Rites Set Thursday. A member of the Pinehill Baptist Church, Mrs. Warren was a lifelong resident of Rusk County. Pallbearers will be Forrest Gaut, J. C. Warren, Roy Staggs, Henry Boyd, Jack Dawson and C. O. Taylor."
