Mary 'Maurine' Warren was the daughter of Lonnie Dee Warren and his first wife Willie Alston of Rusk County. Maurine Warren was the wife of Alfred Theodore 'Ted' Nelson. Bryan Funeral Home. Services for Mrs. Maurine Nelson, 87, of Henderson will be held at 2 p.m Thursday at Bryan Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Glenn Nelson, grandson, will bring the message; Robert Lloyd Nelson will bring prayer; Bill Murphy, eldest grandson, will give eulogy and Brother Harold Davis will officiate at graveside. Burial will follow in Stewart Cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home. Mrs. Nelson died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview after a brief illness. She was born March 28, 1908 in Henderson and was a lifetime resident of Rusk County. She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Henderson and was retired owner of Henderson Flower Shop. The family will receive friends from 6p.m. to 8p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Ameryllus and Virgil Murphy, Henderson; three sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred W. and Jean Nelson, Arlington, Billie Rhea and Thelma Nelson, of Lufkin, and Dr. Robert N. and Marianne Nelson, Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters, Katherine Boyd, Orange and Delena Haynes, Troup; three brothers, Langford Warren, Henderson, Robert Warren, Del Rio and Herman D. Warren, Diana; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Michael Minor, Dan Murphy, Tim Murphy, Darin Murphy, Clayton Nelson, Marcus Nelson and Alan Nelson.
