All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Obituary for Rennie WARREN born 21 Apr 1907 Overton, TX died 8 May 1999 Clearfield, Utah Rennie Warren was the daughter of John Stephen Warren and Effie Eliza Gossett Warren of Rusk County. Rennie Warren was the wife of Charles Richard Ash. Graveside services for Mrs. Rennie Warren Ash, 92 of Layton, Utah, will be held 12 noon, Saturday, May 22, 1999 at Rusk County Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jere Wilson officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of the Crawford- A. Crim Funeral Home. Mrs. Ash died Saturday, May 8, 1999 at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield, Utah, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Mrs. Ash was born April 21, 1907 in Overton, to John Stephen and Effie Eliza Gossett Warren. On Sept 2, 1932 Rennie married Charles Richard Ash in Overton. Charles preceded her in death following 49 years of marriage. She lived in Beaumont for 40 years, Henderson for 5 years, and had lived in the Layton, UT area for the past 11 years. She lived most recently at the Apple Tree Retirement Ctr. She made afghan quilts for each grandchild and great-grandchild. She loved to fish and was one of the best ‘flounder fisherman’ on the gulf coast while she and Charley lived in Beaumont. Mr. and Mrs. Ash were both devoted to the Southern Baptist faith, and she was a member of the South Park Baptist Church in Beaumont and the First Baptist Church in Henderson. She was a member of the Layton Hills Baptist Church in Layton and had many friends there. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, and five sisters. Survivors include her son Jimmie Charles Ash and his wife Carol Ann, Ogden, UT; three grandchildren Mark Ash and his wife Carol Ann of Salt Lake City; Michele Quin of Houston, Alison Sunderland and her husband Jerry of Riverdale, five great grandchildren.
