All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Obituary for Robert Luther WARREN born 2 July 1910 Henderson, Rusk Co TX died 11 Apr 1996 Robert Luther Warren was the son of Lonnie Dee Warren and his first wife Willie Alston Robert Warren was the husband of Lucile Malone Graveside services for Robert Luther Warren, 85 of Del Rio were held 2 p.m. Sunday April 14, 1996 at Westlawn Cemetery with T.J. Jarrett officiating. Burial was under the direction of the G.W. Cox Memorial Funeral Home in Del Rio. Mr. Warren died April 11, 1996 at Val Verde Memorial in Del Rio. He was born July 2, 1910 in Henderson. He is formerly of Warren Studio, first leased a photographic studio from his uncle in Henderson, his home town. He learned his professional from his father, a photographer who started his career in 1900. While Robert was still in high school, he spent his summer vacations working on ships which carried freight to and from Europe many times. After Robert and his late wife Lucile purchased the Lippe Studio in Del Rio in 1941, he enlisted in the Air Force in 1942 and served at Laughlin Air Force Base during World War II. Robert represented the Del Rio Rotary Club at an international convention in Tokyo in 1978. He was a member of the Texas Aviation Association, the Amistad Navy Club, Del Rio Flying Club, the Rotary Club and a member of the Christian Science Church. Survivors include a sister Kathryn Boyd, Orange; a brother Langford Warren of Henderson; a half-brother and sister Delena Haynes and Herman D Warren of Troup; a niece, Ameryllus Murphy of Henderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
