Funeral for Mrs. Ella E. York, 87 of Tatum will be held at 10 am Wed  
at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev Roy Culley  
officiating. The body will lie in state at the home of her daughter,  
Mrs. Wilma Broomer, from Monday until service time Wednesday.  
Interment will be in Tatum Cemetery under the direction of Bryan  
Funeral Home. Mrs. York died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at her residence  
after a lengthy illness. Born March 3, 1897, Mrs. york was a lifelong  
resident of Rusk County. She was a housewife and a Baptist. Survivors  
are her three daughters, Mrs. Mary Hightower, Mrs. Christeen Stowe  
and Mrs. Wilma Broome, all of Tatum; two sisters, Mrs. Cecil Thompson  
of Troup and Mrs. Jane Jones of Tatum; 14 grandchildren, 21 great- 
grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be  
Frank Cole, Jay Silvey, Jimmy Silvey, Tony Broome, Jimmy Edward  
Stowe, Charles H. Jones and Willie 'Billie' Ray Stowe.
