Stumph officiating. Immediately after their marriage Mr. & Mrs. Thomas left for Mt. Pleasant, Tex. to make their home. Both young persons have many warm friends in this city who will be interested in their welfare & who wish them an abundance of happiness & prosperity. Freeze of this city & Mrs. S. R. Mauldin of Longview were united in marriage Friday at noon, Rev. J. A. Hill officiating. Mr. & Mrs. Freeze returned to Henderson Sun. afternoon where they were met by numerous friends who offered many happy felicitations & extended best wishes. Henderson Times, Mar. 3, 1921 Married Tues. Evening Mr. Hubert Hudson and Miss Vera Stroud of this city were united in marriage at the Methodist parsonage at 7:30 o'clock Tues. evening, Rev. C. H. Adams officiating. The young people rather stole a march on their friends, but very few knowing about their intentions until they were married. Mrs. Hudson is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. C. H. Stroud & is a splendid young lady, enjoying the esteem of many friends in this city. Mr. Hudson has been with the Allen Barber Shop here for some time. Since his residence in the city, he has made a host of friends by his manly, orderly life. Immediately after the wedding Mr. & Mrs. Hudson left for the Pope community where they will make their home on the farm. McClanahan of Hillsboro on the 3rd in the city of Dallas. Mr. McClanahan is manager of the Cameron Lumber Co. of his home city & is a very prosperous young business man. He is to be congratulated upon the winning of such an elegant lady as Miss Ola Bell. She is an accomplished lady in all respects & is worthy of the very best that one can give. McCorkle of this city & Miss Virginia Purvis of New Veda, LA, were married Fri. night in Carthage, Tex. The bride is a well known young lady in her city, and the groom has many friends in this county, where he has spent the greater part of his life, the best wishes of whom go with this couple in their marriage. Morris, became the bride of George Carroll Gary of Henderson, with an impressive service said by Dr. Wm. States Jacobs. Johnson of Keechi, LA, were married at 6:00 pm in Tenaha Sat. Mrs. Johnson is a member of one of East Texas' early & prominent families. The house was beautifully decorated with holly & poinsettias. The bride is one of Rusk Co.'s most excellent young ladies, whose lovely character has gained her a legion of friends. She is widely & favorably known, having formally taught school, but more recently connected with the G. P.----. Holland of the Hickey community & is an excellent young lady. The groom is the son of Mr. & Mrs. B. B. Stevens of the Pleasant Grove community & connected with the Gulf Pipe Line Co. Their friends wish them much happiness. Henderson Times, Jan. 1., 1929 Adams-Lacey Wedding One of the many beautiful Christmas weddings was that of Miss Grace Adams, dau. of Mr. & Mrs. J. E. Adams, of this city, to Mr. Joe Lacey, principal of the Carthage High School, which event took place at the Adams home on North High street, Sunday, Dec. 23. Mrs. J. B. Powell played the wedding march, and Mrs. C. A. Woodyard of Carthage sang... The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Lesbla Adams, and the groom by his brother, Mr. Ben Lacey. Rev. John W. Goodwin, pastor of the local Methodist church, performed the ceremony Mrs. Lacey is one of the most popular ladies of Henderson. She is a graduate of Henderson High School, and for the past 3 years has been connected with the Carthage School as expression teacher. The groom is a member of one of the pioneer families of East Texas, and a very able school official. They are now at home in Carthage, after a trip to Dallas & Ft. Worth. Henderson Times, Jan. 1, 1929 Married Recently Miss Mary McClain & Mr. Mathis Thornton, popular young couple of Crim's Chapel, were united in marriage in Henderson Sat. night Dec. 22.
