LITTLE FLOCK Cemetery, San Augustine County, Texas, was visited on March 6, 2010, by Bob Britnell and Sandra

Britnell.  All headstones were photographed; pictures will be provided at no cost to anyone who asks. Contact

DIRECTIONS:
From San Augustine, go south on US96, turn right (west) on SR103, go 2 miles and turn left (south) on FM1751. 
 Go 4.5
miles and turn left (east) on CR4330, also known as Little Flock Road.  The cemetery is less than half a mile 
on this dirt
road.  Little Flock Baptist Church is on the right, the cemetery is across the road on the left.  The church 
was organized
under a brush arbor and the first building, a log church, was built about 1882.  The small size of the church 

led its
congregation to call itself "Little Flock".  The first burial was Carrie Bell Hawkins, who died at age 6 when 
her parents
stopped for help at the home of Joseph and Lizzie Erwin.  She was buried on Erwin property near the church; by 
1900
there were 29 marked graves.  The Texas Historical Commission erected a sign at the site detailing the history 
of the
cemetery  The white wooden church is still in use today. The site can also be reached by travelling east from 
Bronson
on CR4330 (Little Flock Road), a dirt road through the woods.
