WOOD CEMETERY, near "Anthony Harbor", San Augustine County, TX.  Recorded Saturday, March 10, 2007 by Bob Britnell (misterbob2004@yahoo.com) and sister, Sandra Britnell. This is another older cemetery tucked away on a dirt backroad, with names of families who came to the county in the time period of transition from Republic to State of Texas. The name on the sign over the gate to the cemetery shows the name as "Wood", not "Woods", and the names on the headstones indicate the same.
DIRECTIONS:  From Pineland on US96 at the caution light, go west on FM83,  7.1 miles; turn left on CR432 and go almost 1 mile. The cemetery is visible on the right just past the last house.  (About halfway to the cemetery you will pass a sign for "Wood and Fonville Cemetery Annex"; this is a newer, small cemetery with just a few recent burials)
   Information in parentheses is not on the headstone, but was added for information. All other data appears on the headstone, and was printed here as it appears on the headstone even if in error or misspelled. All information of genealogical value is recorded here.
   There are several natural stone markers that are unidentifiable.
