It was a copy of a typed script that appeared to mimic the page layout of the original manuscript, although I do not know that for sure. The binder also contained genealogical tables for Mable McFadden, Maude's sister, so I suspect that Mable's daughter Alyne contributed much to the binder. There is also a note from Alyne that a complete copy of the CM Wilson family history is on file with the DAR. In the section on marriages, Lelia Wilson's second marriage to Reade Macon Washington in 1892 is noted with a typist's comment that it was an addition, probably by Lelia. From this and other comments about Cornelia's death, I judge that the original manuscript was in possession of Lelia Wilson for some time and probably passed to one of her daughters. I have scanned the family history into a character recognition program and edited the resulting text to conform fairly closely to the original copy. Spacing and indentations have been preserved. A few corrections to the text were made where it was obvious that the typist had transposed letters or missed capitalizing names. Other inconsistent spellings and phrases were not modified.
