Manry Land Purchases - Scurry County, Texas. A deed of trust in Scurry County for J.R. Manry lists the following property. The State of Texas: Know all men by these presence: That I W.A. Jones of the County of Scurry, and State of Texas, Party of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Ten dollars to me in hand paid by J.R. Manry, of the county of Scurry and State of Texas, the receipt in whereof is hereby acknowledged, and of the further consideration, uses purposes and trustee herein set forth and declared have granted, bargain, sell, alien, convey and confirm, unto the said, J.R. Manry part of the second part and also to the substitute Trustee, as hereinafter provided, all of the following described real-estate lying and being situated in the County of Scurry in the State of Texas, towit: lots no 2 and no 3 in the Block no 11 and lot no 9 in block no 10, all situated in the town of Snyder, County & State aforesaid. Also section no. 402, blk no. 97 and 120 acres out of the SE cov. Of section 432 block no 97. Also the following named personal property: 2 sorrel horses, 7 years old, branded LO on the left hip. 2 bay horses, each 9 yrs old, one branded W.H.Y. and the other branded 80 on the left hip, one bay horse branded [] on the left hip, age 7 years; 5 cooak mules aged from 4 to 7 years one branded 0 on left hip and the others branded 56 on the left shoulder; one 2 yr. old mule and one 3 yr. old sorrel horse. Each branded 56 on left shoulder; one gray Norman horse 9 yr. old and one brown, horse, each not branded; 2 gray mares, one brown mare one black 3 yr. old horse and one 2 yr. old horse, all branded J1G on left hip; one black mare and two colts not branded; one hack, one cart, one single and two double buggies, together with the harness belonging with each and all of the said vehicles, which said buggies, cart, hack and harnesses are the same which are now being used by W.A. Jones in countsetion with his livery business in the town of Snyder Texas, together with all improvements thereon, or hereafter be placed thereon and all and singular the rights and appurtenances to the same belonging or in anywise incident or appertaining. To have and to hold unto him the said party the second part and to his assessors and their assigns forever, I hereby conveantiry and agreeing to forever Warrant and defend the premises aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said J.R. Manry and to the substtiatute Trustee, and to the assigns of any trustee hereunder against all persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming or to clam the same for and upon the following trusts, terms and conditions towit- where as W.A. Jones the said party of the first part is justly indebted to F.J. Grayum, party of the third part herein is evidenced by two certain promissory notes executed by the said party of the first part and payable to the order of the said party of the third part as follows, towit, $515.00 Snyder, Texas Feb. 5, 1895. Ninety days after date waiving grace and protest promise to pay to the order of F.J. Grayson five hundred and fifteen dollars, value reviewed, with interest at the rate of 10 percent per annum after maturity until paid and in case of legal proceedings or this note or same is placing hand of an attorney for collection, I agree to pay ten percent on the amount for attorney's fees.
