Deffenbaugh, one of the original founders of the Austin Daily Statesman, for the past 14 years connected with the printing business of Austin, died on the 4th inst. Judge J.R. Fleming of Cisco was in town in regard to his bank building. Mrs. McMillan of Celina, TN and Mrs. Roberts of Grayson County visited their sister here, Mrs. W.P. Stone. E.R. Manning and wife and Mrs. J.[John] C. Lynch visited our offices. Bud Pate – girl born yesterday The infant daughter of M/M Neil Meyers was buried Monday. Prof. G.W. Holstein of New Jersey visited his brother, L.M. Holstein on the Taylor creek sheep ranch. John H. Wood, formerly of Albany, but now of Cisco was here.
